The house inspector said I had a bad mold problem in the crawlspace under the home I was about to buy. My realtor suggested Remtech environmental as I was new to the area and unfamiliar with local service providers. Howard Jones came out, did an inspection and suggested a treatment plan. The house inspector said one of my main support beams had been significantly compromised by the mold and he suggested that a new beam be joined to the damaged beam to insure the necessary support for the home. Howard assured me he could do that so the cost of that was added to the job proposal. The work was supposed to start early in July 2013 and be completed by July 12, 2013 This job was to include putting plastic sheeting on the ground to diminish ground moisture, spraying and cleaning up the mold contamination, and adding the new beam to the damaged one. The work was still not done when I moved in the end of July. Howard was not present when work was being done. His employees knew nothing about the beam being added and insisted on payment when the plastic had been put down and the mold initially sprayed. Foolishly, I paid them. In September 2013 I was told there was mold regrowth and more spraying needed to be done. Howard came out one other time and spent 1 1/2 hours under the house, but he did not tell me what he was doing nor what he found under the house that needed to be done. He was still saying at that time that the beam would be replaced as agreed. Neither Howard nor anyone else from Remtech has been out since. He will not return my calls. My realtor, who has used him in the past, has also tried to follow up on this without any luck. Remtech will not return her calls either. I feel this is the kind of company for which Angie's List was created. My realtor says her company will no longer recommend them either.
Description of Work: The provider inspected the crawl space under my home, provided me with an assessment and treatment plan. He agreed to provide service and then did only part of the job. He will not come out to finish the job he was paid for. Won't answer/return phone calls.
