The solution to our problem was their digging 6-7 feet down to replace the broken outside pipe. While doing this, they discovered that the bottom of the cast iron pipe running under our foundation wall into the basement was corroded through and thus also leaking badly. So in addition to all the outside work, they also dug up the basement cement floor over the corroded pipe and replaced it.
Nate and his father worked with competence and an ease of movement that enabled the project to flow smoothly with perfect results. We highly recommend them!
This well-intentioned family business has a very limited capacity for quality, detail-oriented installation work.
Their methods are quick, their craftsmanship, sloppy, and the father of the team is a (grumpy) hack.
They may be able to get your sink unclogged or replace your disposal, but if you need custom plumbing installed (and want the work to be hidden in walls and ceilings when they are done), look elsewhere.
They ran pipes just below ceiling joists in kitchen so drop chases would have had to be built around them to hide the work. When told to go thru the joists, they claimed that code prohibited this. (Next plumber ran the pipes thru the joists & passed inspections without problem). It is faster to run pipe below the joists, & this work was billed by the job, not the hour.
In another room they ran the drain pipes THROUGH THE ROOM, as in IN FRONT of the wall - only 12" from a vertical chase that we created to hide the utilities. When told to move the work into the chase they walked off the job.
Beware.

"This client asked us to take over a plumbing installation already in progress for his house. After work began we were asked to make installations that were not to code. Because of this and several other procedural issues with the client, we subsequently removed our work and did not charge any fees. It is unfortunate we were not able to do this project, however, we are committed to installing systems that not only meet current code, but also ensure long term functionality, over which we were not in agreement with our client in this case. Occasionally the client-contractor relationship does not work out, and this was one of those limited instances where it was best for the client to use someone else for the project. We have been plumbing new, remodel, renovation, and repair work in the Asheville area for almost 30 years and stand behind our work - please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thanks!
