The overall work went well. However, there was a defect in the concrete near our front door, in plain site, and very visible, where the concrete was cracked and broken just days after the project was completed and we had paid in full. We called multiple times and never received a return call. We then sent an email which he returned and set up a time for repair. This repeated itself for 3 separate events, with the patch failing every time. The last time we heard from him was 4 months ago when he said " I will be glad to come out and address the issue. I will contact you when I have a date." That was in July! Based on their poor customer service, after being paid $36,000, I would not recommend Cane Creek Concrete to any of my neighbors or anyone else.

I first wrote to Chris over a year ago. He told me up-front he was heavily booked up to the end of 2017. He came out and surveyed the site. I drew up a plan ad we agreed to price. In the interim, while waiting, I made some additions to the original plan and we renegotiated the project. Chris gave me a heads-up target date of early Fall, 2017. He and his crew arrived very punctually and got right to work. The first day, the prepped the site, grading, putting up forms, setting out gravel base and fixing rebar in place. Next day, the concrete truck arrived early and the concrete was poured & covered (it was raining) and lastly broomed to a finish. The third day they came and took out the forms and cleaned up. Overall, I found Chris and is entire crew very punctual, efficient and personable.

The work went exceedingly well. Once the date was set, the crew arrived (at 7:30 with notice to that effect) and removed the old bricks, prepared the walk bed and placed forms where needed. First thing the following day, cement was pored, color added (there is a variety to choose from) and the pattern stamped. The job was completed on the 3rd day, removing the forms, trimming the edges and applying seal. A week before the work began, I added a 4' x 6' cement pad requirement elsewhere on the property and they did that nicely as well for a small increase in price. Chris Holder, the owner, has been doing this for 20 years. He is professional and knows his craft. The folks working for/with him were quite pleasant and took pride in the work they did. This business gets the highest rating possible in my book.

Excellent! The work was done in a few hours over two days. One to build the form and pour the concrete. Came back the next day to remove the form. Looks great!

I first contacted Chris last summer for a quote. Chis is very responsive and got back to me right away and came out to give me a quote.   I scheduled the work to be done this spring.  Chris kept in touch in the meantime and did the work in early April.  Chris and the men that work for him are so fantastic.  They explained with they were doing, they did very high quality work and were very professional.  The end result is gorgeous and I'm extremely happy.  I highly recommend Cane Creek concrete!

The guys were all very professional and careful about where my well and septic tank were located.  I had the power company out to mark the yard where any wiring was, and they marked it incorrectly.  Luckily Cane Creek Concrete recognized that and were able to work around it.

I called them after getting another estimate.  The other company did not show.  So I finally tried Cane Creek.  They were very responsive when I called.  They had other jobs so couldn't do mine right away, but communicated that with me.  They gave me a reasonable amount of time that they could do the job.  And they followed through.  They were great!

Everything went as Chris, the owner, explained. Because of his good reputation, Cane Concrete is already booking for Spring 2015 work. Definitely worth the wait....

He did a great job in spite of very close working quarters. He did crack the skimmer line, but immediately apologized and called the Medallion Pool and had them install a new one at his expense. Very good work.

Chris was prompt and thorough in providing the quote for the job back in November, advising me of his timeline for getting jobs done. Winter this year being what it has been, there was an understandable wait in getting to my job, but once he called to advise he'd be there with his crew, they were punctual, professional and did quality work, including doing some extra gravel work on an adjacent driveway at a great price, saving me money, time and hassle if I had sought to get that work done by anyone else.
I'm very pleased with Chris and his work and recommend Cane Creek Concrete without reservation.

The work was done within a week overall, weather permitting. Chris supervised and worked each day, and we were very pleased with the design he came up with for the new footprint and sidewalk. He had many color choices and design styles as well as advice, so the patio coordinates well with the existing brick. Cane Creek was a bit more expensive than the other 2 estimates we got, but we were sold by Chris' presentation, ideas of design and colors, and are very pleased with the result.

It went very well. We had to wait almost 7 weeks for the job to be done though (they are a popular and thus busy company). Chris (the owner) was extremely knowledgable and ultimately this is why i chose them. The other concrete companies I got quotes from were similarly priced but just weren't as professional. Just be careful if you have finsihsed areas near to where they are working - the workers tracked thick mud all over my newly dry laid flagstone patio (and no, the rain does not just wash it off).
Overall though, the pad they poured is perfect and so I would absolutely use Cane Creek Concrete again!

Chris Hoder came buy, gave a quote, got the job done beautifully as promised in a timely fashion. Our neighbor was so impressed by them that she had her porches resealed too.

We have a lodge in Black Mountain and needed to have a patio and driveway poured with the patio being stamped.
I went to Angie's List to search for concrete workers in that area to get quotes for the job. I picked four companies and had them come out to meet me and give a quote for the job. Cane Creek Concrete was one of them and was the one i chose. When i first meet Chris Hoder the owner, he made it easy for me. He was very professional and knowledgeable but most of all he was very easy to talk with and had a great personality. He explain to me everything that they were going to do and also gave his professional opinion on what he thought would work and not work also what colors would look good with our lodge. Which this helped me out a lot and He did not mine me asking a lot of questions either.
His company was very prompt on starting each day and the crew he had was very nice and professional. i spoke with each one of the crew and they were really great/friendly people. The job they did turned out to be better than what i imagined. The stamped concrete looked really great and they way the driveway matched was super. It made our lodge look so much better and definitely increased the value of it. These guys did a really great job. The patio and driveway was a total of 1200 sq. ft of concrete poured. Chris tied the patio in the foundation of the lodge so it would not pull away from the lodge in the future which is really good. Chris and his crew have good knowledge of what they are doing. I am planning on using them again and i also became friends with Chris the owner not because he is a hard worker and his company does great work but because he is a great person to know.
Also Cane Creek Concrete's price was way better than other three quote that was given. You can't go wrong in choosing Cane Creek Concrete for your job.

The project was completed on time with some interference from the weather. Spring weather can be challenging. Organizing a meeting between our two hardscaping professionals was no problem. They worked well together.
