Unbelievably well !! I selected Mr. Johnson based on Angieslist reviews. I called mid day and was told he could be at my home within 30 minutes and was surprised when he arrived on time. I had ordered a part online because two other plumbers told me it would be hard to find the old part I needed. The part I ordered didn't fit but Mr. Johnson had the right part on his truck. He installed it promptly and charged $110.00. He's been in the business for 47 years and is highly skilled and good-natured. This was a win-win service call.

He did an excellent job. He did what we wanted and the price was reasonable. He even said, "do you mind if I look around to see if there is anything else?" He tightened a few things and didn't charge anymore for it. He was terrific.

Very reasonable in price.  Shows up on time and quickly when needed.  He is very personable and is does a great job at explaining the work process to me.

He is a very good plumber. What we like about him is, he tells you when he could come and he comes when he says he would. He does what he says he would. He charges the same amount now what he used to charge two years ago when we first started using him. His responsiveness is very good and he is very professional.

They came and did a very good job. They charged $75 while another plumber had charged $90 for the same repair previously. We have had them do the same work for us several times, and we will continue to use them.

In all, our experience was fairly good. Pricing seemed fair and the work was done in less than an hour once he arrived. He had the parts on him, so he was able to fix things on the spot. The only real issue was he was about an hour later than he said he'd be and didn't call to let us know.

We were told by another plumber that the toilet needed to be replaced because there were no valves available to fix it. Ken ordered the replacement parts and fixed the toilet, saving us a lot of money. He also looked at another toilet and said he could replace it without having to break through a wall which another plumber told us we would have to do. He knows plumbing! He got the upstairs bathtub handles working. These were old fixtures and we were concerned that we would have to replace everything. We will use him again.

They changed the faucet, and there have not been any further problems.

Their work was very satisfactory. They came out to the house on time. They gave me a fair price. They did the work like they said they would. It went well.

Part of the story is reflected above. Other than that, they arrived the day after we called during both visits. They also arrived at or before the promised time. On the second call, it was raining, they left their shoes in the garage. They cleaned up after themselves and were courteous throughout their visits.

Called on Friday and they were able to do the work on Monday morning. I purchased the vanity tops and faucets and had them here. They were able to salvage the existing mirrors so I didn't have to replace them. Also the new top didn't fit the old vanity so they were able to cut in to the vanity to make it fit with no problems. I found them to be pleasant, professional and willing to work with me to save money by making it work!

Very well, no problems or glitches. He arrived on time both days.

We called Ken because our water bill had spiked up, causing us to suspect a leak. Ken came the day after we called, right on time and did great work!

They responded to my voice message within 3 hours and were here within another hour! Ahead of time! Very reasonable and trustworthy. Very professional and knowledgeable. Came to my house after finishing another "Angie's List" job! I have already called my friend, who also needs a plumber, and I will use C & J for my future plumbing needs.

We moved from Indiana to Asheville with the furniture arriving on a Friday. On short notice, Ken was able to come and connect our washer and dryer on Monday morning. A service most companies wouldn't or couldn't do. We were very surprised and satisfied with the service and cost.

We were pleased with the actual plumbing work, but not so happy about the resulting rough hole and cracks in the plaster wall. He was not as gentle as he should have been with the old plaster wall, and as a result cracked the plaster in two places. I felt this could have been avoided with a little more care and patience.

Mr. Johnson took two days to replace everything (except faucets and fixtures), and brought our lines up to 3/4 inch from 1/2 inch. This has increased our water flow and we no longer take hot/cold/hot/cold showers.

Called them about a leaking hot water heater. Agent was ahead of time and friendly, and was always directly on the job. Had right part and checked to make sure it was ONLY the emergency release valve and not a pressure problem. Reasonably priced, professional, and prompt. I will definitely be using them again.

Fine, Fast and Thorough.

Ken Johnson showed up right on time, determined immediately that the pipe in question was leaking somewhere upstairs, not backing up in the basement as we thought, and identified the probable location of the leak. He then informed us that it would save us a lot of money for us to cut out the section of closet wall in question and call him when the cracked pipe joint in question had been exposed. He was right; we cut a square in the wall, the crack was right where he thought it would be, and he showed up as soon as we called and worked to replace the joint for a couple of hours, careful not to damage the new wallpaper on the bathroom wall on the other side. My husband is now replacing the square of closet wall; easy as pie.

I cold called him at 8am because my pipes had frozen and busted. By 9am he was at my place working and by 12pm had replaced about 10 ft. of PVC pipe and the water was up and running. I thought the price was very reasonable for such a quick response and repair. A week later I called him back because of a slow leak at one of the joints. He came out and wound up spending over an hour working on my pressure tank for an unrelated problem. His cost for the second visit was $0.00. I paid him anyway. I'm not sure if it's a one man band, but Mr. Johnson did good hard work for a fair price.
