We have 18 cats, so I go there a lot. Everything is A. I have been using them since 2009 so that's 7 or 8 years and they have been excellent. Their staff is excellent, their facility is excellent. Can't say enough good about them. Their price is a little high but you get a really high quality, but the price is okay. They are open 24 hours a day so if there is any emergency you always have staff there 24 hours a day.

They showed the x-rays to me and said they couldn't find anything wrong at all. They suggested doing a whole blood series so I said yes. Everything came back fine. Within a day I had him at another veterinarian. They got the x-rays that were taken and found a mass in his abdomen. He ended up being diagnosed with cancer.

They just love animals. They are amazing with pets. They  treat the pets like their own pets. I have never had to wait for more than 2 hours.

Staff were punctual, friendly, and did a great job with my fussy cat.  I've taken my cats to WNC Vets in Flat Rock for 3 years, none on emergency basis.  The vets are professional, kind and seem sensitive to the animals.  The head vet, Dr. Fred Rosen, is amazing.  He correctly diagnosed a hidden problem with B-12 absorption after we had given up after 4 years of visits to other vets and hundreds of dollars in tests, x-rays and diet food changes.  Now my cat is healthy and acting like a normal cat for the first time in her life.  While this hospital is more expensive than some others, they have 24/7 service and take their own clients at a reduced rate for emergencies.  Highly recommend.

Western Carolina Veterinary Emergency Hospital keeps vets on site. If your animal is a patient then if you have an emergency they only charge you the office visit rate because you're already a patient.  You can even stay with your pet if they have to stay overnight. They have vets there all the time, they are full service. They do surgeries there, they take time to answer all your questions. They have on-site equipment. They try to give you choices and ask questions about your animal. When you bring your pets in they do a full physical.  Nothing is rushed. They even gave me a rebate on my pets medication. The price is very reasonable. They don't force procedures on you, they always give you options. When my dog got sick they gave me the choice about the x-ray, and said that we could do it later if she gets worse, so they are not there to take your money for unecessary procedures.

I cannot recommend these people highly enough. They have respect for you and your animal. The vet spoke to my dog first, then to me, and then he examined Jack. He told me what was wrong, what he intended to do, what he might find, and then he left and did exactly that. The people at the clinic are the nicest people you'll ever want to meet. They called the next day to see how Jack was doing. They are THE best anywhere around. There is an emergency vet in Greenville, but I drive 45 minutes to this place because of the people and the way they treat my animals.

They provide emergency after hours, and they are open 24 hours.  Everyone is really nice.   We'd taken our puppy in to get her teeth checked, but they’d spayed her at a different time; they’ve taken care of our dogs since they opened.

I can't tell you how efficient and professional these folks were. They were also compassionate towards me and my dog. They also did not keep me or my dog waiting. This is such a splendid place with state of the art technology. You can even get an acupuncturist for your dog if you want.
