Walls To Windows

Our experience with Jewel Stafford, the owner of Walls to Windows, can best be described as peculiar. We purchased drapery panels for our dining room. As we already had the fabric and the drapery hardware, the work only involved the fabrication and installation of the drape panels. The drapes were well made but additional work was required to remove wrinkles and adjust the length. This was to be done once the drape panels were in place and allowed to hang for a few weeks. In the meantime, we asked Ms. Stafford for a quote on drape panels and hardware for our game room. She wanted to charge us ?research? time to verify the correct order numbers for the drapery hardware we selected. She also wanted to charge us extra to ?supervise? the installation of the drape panels so that the drapes hung correctly. We advised Ms. Stafford we would not pay for product information or pay extra to insure that the draperies purchased from her had been correctly fabricated and installed as expected. That was her inherent responsibility to us, her clients. She subsequently ?withdrew? her quote. Then, when we asked on the phone that she complete the remaining work on the dining room drape panels, she demanded we place our request in writing and hung up on us. We attempted several times to call back but she would not respond. We nonetheless complied with her demand and sent a written request. Ms. Stafford, also had in her possession the material we had purchased for the game room drape panels. We asked in our written request that she return the material to us. She responded that she would only return the material if we agreed to meet her at the Sheriff?s Office. We agreed to this demand as well at which time she informed us she would NOT complete the remaining work on the dining room drape panels. We are left with two drape panels of unequal length, one of which is wrinkled.
