They are great. I have been with them for so long that my membership has been only $75 a year. So I don’t want to give it up. I joined back in the late 70’s. It is a contract so I just pay yearly. The people who came before me are paying $40 a year and people who came now are paying about $200 or $300 a year.

BEWARE MILITARY MEMBERS AND/OR SPOUSES!  Find another gym!  I was drawn to this fitness center due to the guarantee of waiving cancellation fees for military members and spouses.  I signed the contract under the false promise that if I presented orders, I'd be allowed to cancel my membership with no penalty or fees.  This is completely bogus!  Not only did they charge me a $99 cancellation fee, they also charged me for the following month after we move!  I'm very disappointed in their sales tactics and taking advantage of military members' good faith just to make a buck.

I have gone to them for thirty years and they are good.  If I need them, they are there to help me and are proactive if there is a problem.  They have good equipment for most parts.  They have a very clean and pleasant environment.  They have separate workout area for woman at one spa if you want to be alone.  Each spa is different, the one I go to is like a satellite, it has exercising, sauna and showers and if you want to swim, you have to go to the one on Elm Street because.  It was a very large facility and a nice one.  They are clean, they have good equipment in working order and the people are helpful.  They have trainers but I never have because you have to pay for that.  When they first opened, you didn’t have to pay but that changed.  They look like they are pretty professional.  I don’t use them but I have watched them on the floor working with customers or patients because there are people from the hospital that come in with their own trainers form the hospital.  So I guess, they have some affiliation going on with the hospital right across the street  When I joined I signed a contract for two to three years, I don’t know what it is anymore.  The end of that contract time, you have a option to quit or pay once a year dues.  I pay $75 a year but that was the initial fees.  They bill me the same time of the year they tend to do.

The Spa Fitness & Wellness Centers have a really good spa center as far as variety of things to do. They are hard to work with to get anything done outside the spa center itself. Once they've got your money they aren't helpful to you. They've got child care which is very handy, and included in your membership. They have the juice bar which is a plus. They've got all kinds of equipment and trainers that are willing to work with you, so there is a variety as far as what they have in-house. In the gym they are good, but their customer service is not good.

My husband and I went to claim the "free" 7 day passes and of course had to take a tour. The lady was nice that showed us around. We were very interested in joining after the tour. We were taken into an office and started talking with a nice man who made it all sound really good. My first question to him was do they do credit checks? Then I asked him about how long the contracts are? He answered with you arent buying a car. He told us you pay 50.00 today and then we will draft your account every month. So we discussed it and decided that we would like to join. Signed the papers, got temporary cards and left. Well the membership was for me, my husband, and son the first time we go they didn't want my son to come in because he is a teenager. I asked this question as well and was paying for him to go, his name was on the contract as a member. He was finally let in, we worked out and left, next day went back no problems getting in but this time an old guy in the pool area that was sitting out in the sun while we were in the pool, I guess didnt like kids. He got up glared at us and read the sign and told another guy he was checking the age groups. So on day four we went worked out can=me home and in my mail was a letter from them informing me that my membership was cancelled. Turns out they do check credit because they finance all memberships. Well my credit is not good at all so they automatically cancelled mine. Well the next day I called them and at first the lady wasn't being very cooperative I explained to her my total unsatisfaction with all of this and finally was able to get my $50 back since I did "win" a free trial. I will not fall for it again and never go back!!

.They charged my bank account $160.00 for a personal trainer that I did not use. I am fighting with them to get my money back.

It was a horrible experience. The closest facility to my previous home was small, busy, and cluttered.
