I bought my computer in to the Spring Lake branch and it was repaired on the spot. I was very pleased with the service and the affordable pricing.

I dropped off my macbook and they had a pretty quick turnaround. They informed me that my logic board and hard drive were completely toast, and when I asked stubbornly about the cost to replace each of the parts, he gave me a very fair estimate and went the extra mile to show me the specs of my old macbook and how much less it would cost to buy the exact same computer used online. He said he doesn't replace parts with used parts, so buying a brand new logic board, etc. would cost 2-3x the price of my exact old macbook on ebay! He actually talked me out of using their services, in my best interest! I appreciate that service and integrity so much I will most certainly use the Affordable Geeks in the future.

I read that they had been in business since 1987--just what I needed for my Windows 98. Walking into the shop behind another woman who had a computer not much different from mine, I watched as they tackled hers first. Hers was still going online and they had it repaired in short order. Mine is used for only storage for a landscaping program, a genealogy program and Quicken. It would not come on. They are so courteous and full of advice. While I waited, they replaced a board and voila it was good as new. I have an old laptop that goes in next.

I went to the the Hope Mills branch two times and they took care of both of the problems in a timely manner.

I took my desktop into the Fayetteville shop because Windows would not load after 4 attempts. Of course, it worked perfectly once it was in the shop. The tech (owner?) ran some diagnostics and checked things out. We found nothing wrong but had a good laugh and he charged me nothing. By comparison, the local big-box repair service wanted $200 diagnostic fee and couldn't get to me for a week. This is what is great about The Affordable Geek: local business with great service.

I had a virus on my computer and when I called he knew exactly what it was and knew the time it would take to fix it. He was very prompt and the price was not outrageous. I will definitely be using him again in the future.

The Affordable Geek was very good. They explained what was going on and they did some other work that they didn't have to do and pretty much I was very satisfied with the service.
