Excellent, professional service and quality. George came out within a few days of being called to do an estimate. He was 1 of 3 estimates as this was an insurance claim. Once we decided to use Smith Home Improvements, we called George. He gave us his estimate on July 27 ,2017. He scheduled the job for 8/7/17. He & his help arrived early on 8/7/17. Started the roofing job. They completed the job in 2 days. Finished by early afternoon on 8/8/17. Did full clean up. This was the 2nd time we have used SHI. Back in Oct 2016, just before the Hurricane hit our area, he came out as an emergency call to patch one section of our old roof. He called us back prior to coming out to see if OK for him to come out after dark to do the repair. We agreed as he said he had lights and wanted to make sure we had our repair before the storm came. He did the repair for less than $200, using his own materials. We are hoping to get George back this summer to do some remodeling work.

He was able to repair the leak right then and did a wonderful job. Very thorough and professional. Would definitely recommend him.

I am very pleased with his work. He arrived on time and cleaned up after the job was completed.

Polite . Explains the problem after his assessment. Did the wk and then gave me my receipt for payment. And the estimated amount matched the final amount. No price gouging. Thanks will definitely hire again.

He came out the first day and put in three post (cemented in the ground) and came back the next day and finished the entire roof. They took out a portion of the fence to access the deck easier and put it back nicely. Mr. Smith was very nice and the work was very much worth the price.

Mr. Smith set a start date of 1/6/14 and he was right on time. He called ahead to confirm that we were ready to begin, said he would arrive about 8 am and he did. Every day he was prompt in arriving. He and his helper kept the work area and surrounding areas as neat and clean as possible with drop cloths and sweeping up daily. We were very pleased with our new bathroom.

The work was completed on 1/13/14. We would use Smith Home Improvement again and recommend their work.

Very polite and professional. Caring and nice person. The only thing is that he answers his phone quite often while doing the job. He stopped every 30-60 minutes to answer his cell phone to discuss other jobs with other clients. This lengthened the time on my job, though he was very professional and a real gentleman (much appreciated in todays world).

My experience with Smith Home Improvement was excellent. The initial consultation, the quotation was done was when it was supposed to be done. The crew showed up when they were supposed to. They completed the job. All the financial transactions have been smooth.

He showed up early and went straight to work. By lunch, he had the new ceiling up and plastered over. After lunch, he finished sanding and covered the patch. Then he moved an electrical plug for my stove and while under the house, removed a clog from my dryer vent that I was unaware was there. He was prompt, courteous, reasonable, and very pleasant. I would recomend him to anyone needing work done and have to all my friends and family.

Smith Home Improvement is very good. They gave me a quote a while back and when they came back they kept their word and they kept the same price. He seemed very honest, the guys that came with him were very nice and respectful. They painted the facet that they replaced which I did not expect them to do. They cleaned up and they hauled everything off and we didn't even know they were there.

I went great...they came installed the door, cleaned up and left. Less than an hour.

He was very timely and worked diligently while on the job. He used upgraded materials and was flexible when I asked him to do more that the original work we had agreed on. His price was more than fair and was lower than I had expected. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional and very nice and easy to deal with. If there was a higher grade than an and quot;Aand quot;, I would have given it to him.

George is courteous, punctual, responsive with a wonderful sense of humor. We have used SHI for several additional small and quot;odd jobsand quot; and the job is always done right the first time, and quickly, the rates are very fair, especially since I know the job will be done right. This is the only company I would consider on any of our future home improvement projects. Love my gorgeous kitchen and looking forward to more!

He came out to look at the job and give us an estimate, after only a couple of days of my call. An estimate was given to me the next week. After giving the go ahead for the job he scheduled me for later in the month. They came out the day they promised and went right to work. They cleaned up after the job and never was anything other than polite and professional. The actual work performed was awesome and looked better than I was expecting. It was a small job, taking on 1/2 a day, but they treated it like a large project. I highly recommend them and will call them again myself.

I loved him he's awesome. He did an amazing job. I told him what I wanted done, I went to Maryland, and when I came back, everything was finished. He's just a really good christian man, I wasn't going to be there, and I just really trusted him. He's a really nice guy.

He did an AWESOME job! I am forsure going to have him come out and fix other things. Don't hesitate to call him and have him fix anything. I felt safe and that is very important to me being a female. He was VERY professional.

He is a great guy. His prices are really reasonable. He comes when he says he is going to come and brings good people to work with him. I have used him three times and I am very pleased with his work. He is my home improvement guy for anything and everything.

Arrived as promised with crew, work done within estimated timeframe and cost. Reasons why you should DEFINITELY choose Mr. Smith for your handyman work:

1. Does the Job Right / Details Matter: Some of the work was to re-do previous repairs, and the way he did them was clearly a step above how they'd been done previously. EVERYTHING that could possibly need caulk was caulked. Nail holes I would not have expected him to fill were filled. When comparing same repairs done by previous handyman, his repairs are better looking, use the right materials, and have a cleaner finish.
2. Respect: Mr. Smith and his crew clearly have a respectful relationship. This may sound like something odd to comment on, but it was a pleasure to be around a team who gets along, where the boss clearly guides/teaches without talking down to the crew, and the crew takes guidance from the boss without giving him any attitude. Mr. Smith also respects the fact you are the one paying for the repairs, and will find the most cost-effective way to do the job correctly. For example, he could have spent more time / charged more to repair rather than replace a door, but he explained to me why he chose to replace it - saving me money and him time.
3. Complete Work: Took the time to do a few extra steps to make sure the job was done 110%. For example, since he was replacing a door, I requested a new doorknob be installed instead of using the old one. When he rekeyed the new knob, he not only showed me how it was done, he also rekeyed my front door to match. There was one piece of window trim not included for replacement in the original estimate, but clearly it was done by the previous handyman; Mr. Smith went ahead and replaced this piece as well once he realized it was it was in borderline condition and was going to be a mismatch if left as it was.

Should I need handyman work done in the future, I will definitely call Mr. Smith. His price was not the lowest (but was very competitive), and I had to wait longer than I'd hoped to have the repairs done, but I chose him to do the work based on the fact he took his time to check things out completely when he did the estimate. (Another company gave only a cursory look at the obvious roof/window areas needing repair, did not bother checking similar areas on remaining windows like Mr. Smith did.)
