"Thank you very much for your recommendation!"
"I am not finding your name or address in our project management system as either an open or completed job or as a person who contacted us for a free estimate, either this year or in previous years. If we did work for you, we'd like to talk to you about it. Please contact our sales representative Lynn at 910-864-0911."
"Hi [Member Name Removed]! I can see you had Jonathon and David and I'm passing along the good word you had for them. We are so glad we could play a role in helping you and your family recover from such a traumatic event in your life. We appreciate you, and wish you all the best!"
"We're sorry for your having a poor experience. Your feedback is very important for us to strive to do better. Thank you for letting us know!"
All well and good, until we started getting calls several months later demanding the payment (and the latest, another bill sent the day after I paid). They claimed there was no validity to what I had been told, and refused to even offer a courtesy discount. They also claimed it was not their job to notice the cause of floods, just to clean them up. Though the latter might be technically true, it was not our plumber's job to notice a leaky air conditioner either, and yet he cared enough to inform us. It just does not look good, and hope Showcase considers that how you treat your customers is also an important part of getting repeat business.
"Thank you for the opportunity to respond. We were called out to the residence by the Home Owner to pump standing water out of the basement. The technician checked the basement and based on his calculations the job should cost $425.00. The Home Owner approved the estimate and signed our Work Authorization. The water was pumped out and fans set to finalize the drying process. We did notify the Home Owner the leak was still there. The plumber did advise that because the water heater had been submerged under water it would have to be replaced. I do not know who discovered that the AC system was the cause of the leak but it was being worked on as we were removing our equipment. Also let me note that the Home Owner paid the $425.00 invoice."
"It was a great pleasure working with you both. Any future needs you might have, please do not hesitate to let me know, Lynn."
"Thank you so much for your review. If you ever need anything please call us again."
"The original estimate for this job was $5,143.00. The insurance company paid the claim under the mold portion of the customer’s policy. Our estimate was completed before any work began. Once the work began and the chimney was opened up, we found additional damage down into the base of the chimney. This required the fire box to be removed as well as the mantel. This work was not in our original scope of work and we did not charge any additional monies to complete this work. We also rebuilt a gate for the customer, she purchased the material and we offered the labor at no additional charge. We also purchased a bundle of shingles and repaired missing shingles on her roof at no additional charge. There were several appointments made with the customer that when we arrived on site she was not home. There were times that we did show late on her job, but we did attempt to call her to inform her that we were going to be late. When we order materials for jobs, we typically will order more than is needed in the event more is needed, this saves time and trips back to the building supply store, if we do not use the material then we return it and receive a refund. Our upfront estimate includes material cost, I am sure if the job required more material than we estimated the customer would not agree to pay for the additional material. The job was completed and the customer signed a completion certificate agreeing the job was completed. We gave the customer an upfront itemized estimate that she agreed to pay the full balance once the job was completed. This amount never changed even though we completed additional work. The customer explained that she was on a fixed income and asked why she had to pay the $143.00. She was paid $5,000.00 from her insurance company. We explained that this was the agreed price. She first said she would not pay this but once we mailed her a letter of demand she agreed to pay this in $25/month payments which we agreed to accept. We are sorry repair did not move as it should. But when you run into unforeseen/hidden damages that are more extensive than visual seen, it will slow the process down. We really believed we were helping the customer and surprised to see negative feedback. We hope that the customer will rescind the negative feedback."
"Thank you for the response and hopefully we can serve you in the future."
"We unfortunately made a mistake at Member's home. Apparently, we did check the moisture readings on top of the floor system, but we did not sufficiently check moisture readings underneath the home on the subfloor. I suspect we would have found that the floor was still wet between the felt paper and the subfloor. This inconvenienced her family and we are sorry about that. We did make all necessary repairs. We did fulfill our warranty and take care of a problem that was missed on the initial inspections. Hopefully, we can earn Member's confidence to be able to help her in the future. Bottom line is that we missed something that we should have not. We are the experts."
Showcase Restoration did a beautiful job of drying out my home after water damage from a leak due to a burst pipe leading to a hotwater heater. The people who installed the drying equipment were polite, on time and very careful of my furniture, rugs and home generally. They removed all debris and worked under extreame conditions, inan attic with an outside temperature of over 95 degrees. I was pleased with the information provided concerning the process and the time spent to be sure I understood every phase of the clean up.
"Thank you for the response. Please call us in the future for any other needs."

"Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience for Showcase either. We ended up going to court to get the substantial monies due us. We replaced many items that had nothing to do with us, i.e. teak patio furniture, etc. We exhausted all efforts ot bring this relationship to a satisfactory conclussion. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way. We are always happy to provide potienial customers with our references. We do encourage them to inspect our our work. We now even offer a 5 year warranty on all labor completed by Showcase."
"(member name removed), thank you so much for you kind words and confidence in Showcase. If we can ever help you in the future please do not hesitate to call. Thank you again, Lynn."
