He sent pictures and corresponded throughout the process and doesn't cut corners on details in Invoicing like most Contractors out there. Excellent workmanship and warranty of his Service Agreement. [*** Link removed ***]

MIXED REVIEW: Work: 8/10 Price and experience: 2/10 I had quartz countertops coming and I needed my sinks to be taken out. Initially I was going to do it myself, but when I encountered copper supply lines and the shut-off valves started leaking, I decided to go with a professional. Jeffery Shaw was the only one who could do it on short notice, so I went with him. He came over that afternoon to inspect the job, but he wouldn't give me a quote on site. He said he wanted to go home and email me an estimate later that night. Any seasoned plumber would know exactly what a 20" supply line and push-fit water shut-off valve cost. It would be simple multiplication to give an estimate on site with a more accurate quote emailed later. But he knew his quote would be high, so he wanted to email me instead of telling me to my face. Sneaky. His quote was $910. Of which $200 was for actual materials (I purchased the faucets myself) and the other $700 was for labor. About that labor charge: He made it sound like it would be a difficult job because of the copper, but it only took them 2 hours to change everything out on Day 1. They came back the next day just to hook everything back up and caulk the sinks. I know commute time is factored into the labor cost and they are based in Fayetteville, but $700 for 5 hours? I know $100/hr is the (painful) industry standard and there is no reason why it should be that high. But the real kicker came when it was time to pay the bill. I mentioned the 5% Angie's List discount that is prominently displayed on his listing here. He refused to honor it. He said it was Angie's List's fault it was there, and said he can't afford to discount anything. But he wished he could. For this $910 job, the 5% discount would've been a paltry $45 to him. Any GOOD businessman would have honored what is listed on the website and taken up the issue with Angie's List himself. But no. He couldn't part with $45 measly dollars on this already-overpriced job. And saying he wished he could was ridiculous because he is the owner of the business, he could do it, he just didn't want to. Pros - The job IS complete and it appears sound. Both Mr. Shaw and his assistant were very nice people. Final takeaway - I will not be using him again. His prices were just too high and his lack of professionalism was very disappointing.
Response from Shaw Plumbing Inc.
"We are very sorry to hear that Mrs [Member Name Removed] was disappointed with her experience with our company. We strive to offer affordable pricing, quality work, and excellent customer service. On July 21, 2016 Mrs [Member Name Removed] called to inquire about the above referenced job. After explaining to me what was involved I told her I would need to look at everything and provided her with a free consultation the same day since they were coming to do her countertops the next day. After reviewing what needed to be done I was asked for a spontaneous estimate on site and explained to Mrs [Member Name Removed] that I did not like to do that in order for her to receive the best possible price so I could review exactly what materials was necessary and how long the job would take. Approximately three hours after my visit Mrs [Member Name Removed] was provided a detailed estimate for her review so she would know exactly the price for labor and materials and what was to be done. Along with the free consultation and estimate the job required three trips to Mrs [Member Name Removed]'s house. There was absolutely no malcontent intended in doing the estimate offsite approximately three hours later and emailing it as insinuated. There was nothing for us to gain doing it this way as suggested. It was done professionally and in writing. Mrs [Member Name Removed] had ample time to review the estimate and voice any concerns and make a decision. There were no questions asked and Mrs [Member Name Removed] agreed upon the price and the job was completed per the estimate. Once the job was completed and it was time for payment Mrs [Member Name Removed] questioned the 5% discount advertised on Angies List. At the time I could have lied and told Mrs [Member Name Removed] that it was already factored into the job but instead told her the truth and told her the 5% discount was a mistake by Angies List and the job was priced per the estimate. Mrs [Member Name Removed] was provided a quality job at a market or below price and was provided quick responsiveness. Mrs [Member Name Removed] was not forced to accept our estimate and at no time did she express her displeasure or ask any questions prior to this review or they would have been addressed. We take pride in our company and felt the need to respond to what we feel is a unfair and unjustified review and to address the accusations outlined above that we feel are false. It is unfortunate that Mrs [Member Name Removed] feels this way but any issues could have been discussed if we were made aware of her concerns."

Bought a Hot Water Heater from Lowe?s and had them to install it. Lowe?s sent Shaw Plumbing.

I can see why Lowe?s uses Shaw Plumbing. They call me right away the night I bought the Hot Water Heater to setup an install date and time. Which was the next day at noon. They showed up early and went right to work. They were very professional and explain any questions I had. They clean up the area including sweeping up garage area. Now I have a new Hot Water Heater and a trusted Plumber I can call for other jobs.

Thanks for the great job you did!!
