Steve and James showed up and did an outstanding jobs, both were very professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves and left the place looking good. I have a couple of other projects I intend to call them on. I have used other companies in the past and had been very unhappy with the service provided, can't say this about Sandy Ridge as they do great work :-)

I had most of the needed supplies already, so all they had to provide was various wire, boxes, outlets, and covers. Steve got to work on adding the additional outlet and under-counter LED lighting for my workbench in the garage, while Mike removed the old lights and installed the fluorescent lights. I liked how they split the workload whenever they could to speed things up. Mike finished the fluorescent lights pretty quick, then moved to the sun-room ceiling fan to figure out why it stopped working. When Steve finished his task, he went to help with the diagnosis. They checked the fan itself, the wiring in the switch box, and the breaker in the garage. After some head scratching, they figured it was a combination of two things: using compact fluorescent (non-dimmable) bulbs with a ceiling fan remote with a dimmable feature, plus the circuit was nearing its amperage capacity (flat screen, entertainment system, massage chair, computer, lights, fan, etc.). Short of adding a new switch and an additional line to split the load, there was not much that could be done. They wound up replacing the ceiling fan remote unit, and installed a new breaker switch. Then they both went to the shed, and between the two of them, got that knocked out in about 45 minutes. There was already a power line leading out to the shed, but it hadn't been moved inside. They kept the box outside and made it an outdoor GFCI outlet, then used romex to bring power to the shed. They even calked all gaps to keep things nice and water tight. Now it's got an extra outlet, interior fluorescents, and a motion detecting exterior LED flood. Nice.
The ceiling fan diagnosis took longer than expected, so Mike and Steve were there for 3 hours. Asked them about another project (extra light in laundry room), but their work day ends at 3:30. Steve said he could do the job, and that they'll be back. Overall I as pretty happy with their work. They were efficient, clean (no bits of wire or dry-wall dust left behind), and pretty courteous. They didn't mind that I sort'a hung around (had my own projects to finish too), and answered any questions I had. Don't know what the final bill is yet (the bill comes in the mail later) but when I asked if it would be more than $500, Steve said he doubted it would come even close to that. So we'll see!
Update: Got the bill and am happy to report their prices are in line with everything else they've done; excellent! I've already come up with some other projects I'd like them to work on. So as to whether I'd recommend these guys, that's a solid YES.
