My cat was having digestive troubles and I took him in to see if it was a minor problem or potentially something more serious. They asked a lot of questions about his history, his health, his behaviors, his diet, etc. ---- really got to know his norms to help identify where problems may be. They spent time allowing my cat to get to know them and they him. Rex was then very comfortable with them, even when they started poking and prodding him - even let them draw blood without even flinching. The vet and his assistants took the time to explain potential issues and possible courses of treatment. I was very pleased that they didn't jump to the most expensive tests and treatments but suggested a lab exam and some general treatments to see if the issue could be easily corrected. Vet called back days later to discuss the lab results (which were normal) and asked about changes I've noticed in our cat thus far and ensured that I knew to contact him before the medications ran out as these may need to be continued for a bit longer. Overall, very impressed with the facility, the staff and the services. The fees were very reasonable considering the excellent service we received. Will certainly keep Rex under their care.

After relocating to Fayetteville, NC, I heard through word of mouth that the and quot;vetand quot; at Rim Rd Animal Hospital was great. Shortly thereafter, my dog developed a health concern so I went straight to this veterinary office to try it out. So far, I am highly satisfied with the standard of care that my dog has received. I have a large dog (80lbs) boxer/lab. When and quot;vet-shoppingand quot;, I look for:
a DR that will listen to what I want to say, as well as pay attention to my dog, and who will also talk to me about what he/she thinks
take enough time to fully assess the situation and/or my pet's health
a DR that makes an effort to inform me of diseases/illnesses that are local to that particular state or region
a vet office that doesn't charge more than $40 for an exam fee
a DR or vet techs that are kind, but competent and able to hold/restrain/guide my dog as necessary
a vet office that is not always crowded and overbooked
clearly labeled medications or accompanying instructions for administering medicine to my pets
up-front price approximations prior to services

All the above criteria have been met in my dog's first two visits to this clinic. There are two things especially that I appreciate about this clinic. 1) the scale to weigh dogs is on ground level, thus mitigating my dog's fear of heights and apprehension about getting weighed. 2) the vet techs are either in the exam or otherwise readily available for helping to hold my dog during temperature-taking or shots, etc. The techs also help in explaining things to me, or helping me ask questions to the Dr so I understand better. All the techs/staff seemed experienced and comfortable in their roles in the clinic.
I feel the exam fee is comparable to other vet clinics (I paid $31.50 for each exam fee). The medications were in stock and reasonable price.
The waiting area is on the spacious side, comparing to many other waiting areas at other clinics that I've had to endure. Various pet-themed magazines are available for the humans for entertainment. My daughter enjoyed reading these during our dog's appointments.
I would recommend Rim Rd Animal Clinic to anyone in a heartbeat.
