Renaissance Day Spa

Had a perm done. Stylist removed rollers before using the neutralizing solution. Result: wavy but NOT permed hair. Went back 2 days later, was treated as if I have no experience or understanding of perms. Offered to redo but only within 2 weeks which could very likely damage my hair. Also had a cut, no complaints about the cut.

The appointment was nothing as I'd expected. I thought it would be more of a hospital setting, but I really did feel like I'd left Fayetteville and taken off on some really wonderful vacation. The treatment was more like suctioning rather than abrasion, I barely felt a thing! Once the treatment was over I was lead up to the check out desk to pay. I'd planned on spending just over $100.00, but ended up buying the suggested facial cream, which brought the bill to just over $200.00. I should have asked the cost of the cream, or they could have told me, but after using it for over a month, I can say it works, so there is no real loss there. I can't really say that the treatment did too much to improve my skin, but I can say that I loved the experience and would go again.

The spa wasn't as easy to find as simply putting it in the GPS being that my GPS was telling me it was on the left side of the street when in fact it was on the right... and being that the spa was hidden, I wasn't able to see it from the road (no downfall there, just a heads up for those who may try to find the same facility that I was). The parking lot was somewhat small but very packed (indicating to me a good thing!) Upon walking inside I was very impressed with what I quickly saw. Very nice furniture, flooring, decor... was not expecting a nice, fancy restaurant/eatery/deli inside! The greater/host at the front desk most absolutely could have been friendlier; however, she was far from being rude. ..left me feeling a little disappointed, unwelcomed, and definitely not greeted. She asked what she could help me with and I explained that I wanted to get a couple of gift certificates for some massages. She pointed to the direction I needed to go and I left - no further interaction with her. I walked into the specified room and I was amazed, still. First, the room continued to look very nice, formal, and well stocked with products. One of the women behind the desk greeted me with one of the most sincere "Hello! How are you?"s I believe I have ever received. She was SUPER friendly which made up significantly for the woman at the front desk (again, she was never rude). I was purchasing the massages (deep tissue and sports massage) for my fiancé since he is in an intense course and will probably need some massages for his recovery. I know it can be pretty awkward for some men to get massages so I'm hoping that this spa does it right for him (I will update or re-review after he has had the massages for all of you people out there wondering about massages for men!). It was a LITTLE concerning that they might not be so used to massaging men when the woman asked me what HER name was for the gift certificate. I'm sure 99% of the people in there are women so there is no knock to them over that but it was something that I noticed. The cards were packaged very nicely in little black boxes, each - nothing feminine at all... black with gold accents, looked great! My fiancé seemed genuinely happy to have received the gifts! Again, I will try to update or re-review after he has actually had the massages. So far, I?d go back! :)

I called the spa the day prior needing a last minute appointment. I was then notified that there were no bookings available at the Purdue location. However, the Eutaw location had a package available which included a massage, manicure and a pedicure with complimentary lunch. The receptionist then quoted me a price of $165 for the services and asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I left a tip of $20 which took the total booking price to $185. I dropped my wife off at the spa 10 mins prior to her 2:00 pm appointment. The spa staff was welcoming and took her in at the agreed upon appointment time. After her time at the spa she emerged looking totally relaxed and glowing. She had no complaints, and stated that she would love to go back and bring a friend on her next booking. Great environment, great staff and great service. Worth every penny. Will definitely be using this facility again in the future. Thank you for providing my wife with a memorable birthday.

I would not use the Renaissance Day Spa's hair salon, but their spa is very tranquil. They offer snacks, and I had a calm and relaxing experience. I would recommend their spa service, although it's hard to get in and an appointment must be scheduled in advance.

I have my hair styled at the salon at the Renaissance Day Spa, and it is truly a wonderful experience. Besides getting a beautiful cut and style, I also enjoy a relaxing, restorative break from the stress of everyday life. From the moment I walk through the door into the reception area of the spa, the "pampered" experience begins. The fresh, clean scent of the air, the soft lighting (with flickering candles everywhere!), the relaxing music and the top-notch professional staff all combine to create a lovely, relaxing experience. You are truly catered to and made to feel welcome.

The Spa hair salon is a wonderful, relaxing experience. The staff always makes you feel so welcome, and they treat you like a queen! But more importantly, you always leave looking great.

The facial was one of the best I have ever had. My skin felt wonderful after. The mani and pedi were just as good. It is a bit more of expensive place, but for that day that you really want to pamper yourself, this is the place to go.

Heidi was wonderful as well as the other staff. She was quite while she worked on me, and I was able to relax and really take it in. I will definitely be returning again and again and again.

I have had services done there a couple of times by a different tech each time hoping to find someone that can properly do a shellac manicure. Almost everyone of them painted over my cuticles or skin which in turn made the polish peel up with in two days... Pedicures with regular polish they seem to do perfect though.

Great services... Except Shellac manicure, they could use some work with doing those, they pretty much painted over my cuticles so it peeled up by day 2.... Pedicures are great... Their massage therapists are top notch compared to everywhere else in town... Nice clean spa and friendly staff and when they run a little behind they ensure you have some sort of tasty beverage and keep you informed as to what is going on.

The staff was friendly. They offer you complementary smoothies or, my favorite, mimosas while waiting or sitting. Talk about pampering. The only part I was upset about is one of my favorite ladies no longer works there. Hopefully the rest of their staff is as awesome as Venus was. Services are a bit pricey but worth the splurge.

They were great. The best part is a nice facility and the bad part is almost not possible to cancel the membership. The environment was nice and clean, but the price was high for what I was getting. I left it for a week and I have been charged almost for the last year as there's no way to get out of the contract. I pay $70 every month for something that I never use. They have a salon and a juice bar. They do offer personal training, so they do offer a lot. They were good. They are open 24/7.

The treatment was $100. I couldn't afford to do 6... But the I did do did nothing, my face didn't feel any softer or smoother. The staff and ambiance is great though. All massages I've gas there were great.

This experience was excellent overall. I arrived and felt welcomed, felt pampered and when I left I felt that the services were worth what I paid.

My appt went well. I rec'd a relaxing massage. However, my therapist was obviosly inexperienced and left me in a very dark room after the session and I couldn't see to get dressed or find the right light switch. Was just a little awkward.

I go once a month to a massage therapist named Joy and it is totally the best massage I have ever had; it is amazing. It is easy to make appointments and is a beautiful facility. When I step inside I feel the peach and tranquility that you should feel in a spa. I also go there for pedicures and an occasional manicure; it is a full service spa.

Everything was excellent. The staff, the services, and everything were great. We plan on going back next week. I would give them an A+.

My students had given me a couple of gift cards to use there so I had been there and I just continue to go there. They have several different kinds of pedicure, manicure and spa treatments. They are very punctual. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. While I am waiting I can get any type of drinks I like. It is a true spa experience. They do facial and I believe they do hair too and I can spend the whole day there. They are punctual, very nice, and very respectful. They are respectful of my time.

We liked it; their massage was good. They were gentle; we were happy with who we got. Their facility is beautiful. When I think spa in my mind, this is it when I walk in. It is warm, inviting, and friendly. It was kind of expensive but it is a spa so it is just going to be.

I did not like the services at Renaissance Day Spa. The massage was good but the waxing was not. Their work is incomplete and they are not quality oriented. They are inconsistent in their services. Their office is clean but the staff is not good. I would not use them in the future.
