About us
PetStarz is a unique Dog Boarding Facility where dogs are allowed to be cage-free during the day under constant supervision. They are placed in groups according to size and temperment and we have indoor and outdoor areas for them to run, jump, play with their new dog friends and be pampered and petted by our dog loving staff. They get a nap at noon for two hours and then out for more play time with our second shift and then dinner at 5:00 after and hour of relaxing to digest they get to come out for awhile and by the time they have their last potty break and go down for the night they are tired and get a good nites rest...We make sure the dogs are in groups that have the same tempermant and size. We have pools and cabanas 2 large outside areas with double fences and 4 indoor areas for them to play in. They get Kundra beds.. mats.. or blankets and a treat during their nap time and if staying overnight they get the same. Its really a treat for dogs to be in packs together they love it and honestly so many of my customers tell us that even as they are pulling into the parking lot their dog can't wait to get in and is so excited. I love hearing that!

"[Member Name Removed], thank you so much for giving us an overall A. You have been coming to us for a long time and I really value your business and feel like were are also friends. I am sorry that I cannot charge less for our services... but please keep in mind how much your getting for the price. First I just want to add that when Max was here during that time you mention above he did only daycare and the cost was $24.00 .. not $30 plus we even did his medication and fed him lunch ..which we usually do not do during just daily dogdaycare.. and when Max boards I have kept your price (even though we did finally have to raise our prices last year..I raise it $3.00 after 8 years of being here.) I still only charge you $28.00 for overnight boarding If I can take a moment to to explain to everyone that doing doggie daycare is not like a regular boarding facility or like boarding at a vet. The dogs here are out doing supervised play all day with the exception of a 2 hour nap that is required by the dept of Ag... I am also required to have one person on staff for every 10 dogs to supervise their play times. It is much more expensive to run having 3 to 4 girls here for 8 hours a day than say a vet or facility that has one person come in for and hour and half to walk the dogs for a few minutes clean their kennels and feed them .. then leave and come back at 5:00 and do that again.. and during the rest of the day the dogs remain in their kennels only. no playtime.. no pools.. no fun. :-) Honestly, if I charged any less I would not be able to stay in business. I have even considered stopping the daycare and just doing like the others and then I would not have all this overhead but, I don't like the idea of them being in a dark room all day with no interaction with other dogs and very little with people and only 2 quick walks. If you really think about all we do for your dog for either a 24 hour period or just daily daycare from 7:30 to 6:00 I think its a very fair price. Its a lot of work. I luv ya sher, and I'm so glad we have had the pleasure of caring for Max and Princess RIP. You know how much we adored her for all these years that you have come to us. Thank you again for taking time to leave this nice review for us. See you very soon."
"Mr. [Member Name Removed].. Another review from quite a while back that I didn't get to respond to. Thank you where ever you are!! for taking the time to give us a nice review. The one difficult thing about living in an Army town is we get use to the dogs and their owners and then people are always moving away when their military. It's hard to say goodbye. However, I am so glad that we are here to be able tocare for the pets of the men and women that are out their putting their lives at risk to protect our country."
"I didn't realize I had these other reviews. (I'm not the most savy at computers) but [Member Name Removed]... thank you so much and you have been gone (moved away from Fayetteville) for several years now and we still talk about Lola she was such a great dog. We miss you guys!!"
"Customer, We thank you so much for your kind review. We really loved having Shadow and Shiloh here at PetStarz and they are welcome here anytime. We don't get alot of Great Danes (sweet Shiloh) so our staff is always excited when they come. Hope to see them both again very soon . Have a wonderful Holiday!! and again thanks for taking the time out to say something nice about us.. Deborah"
I had sent a couple emails with questions, but received no reply. I did get through on the phone to ask questions and set up an appointment to register my new puppy for doggy day care. They said their web site was not current when I asked about specific information. They were somewhat flexible about when I could come in and required good health documentation about vaccinations and met my puppy for his and quot;temperamentand quot; test. He passed after about twenty seconds of observation. The woman said he would be kept with other dogs his age and temperament and be observed during the day. The facilities were well ventilated, clean and bright and under rennovation at the time. They had individual kennels for nap time, so the dogs could get a break and eat their food.
I dropped him off the first time and he was immediately put into an area with two older, medium sized dogs that wanted nothing to do with a bounding puppy. One immediately growed and snapped, the other tolerated him for a while until she started growling as well. I asked why he was with them and the woman said they would move him with younger dogs when they came in. I didn't have a good feeling as I left.
When I picked him up, the woman mentioned that he had a little nick from another dog. I paid the full rate of $24/ day (high!) and left, not very happy nor surprised. It wasn't until I got home that I saw he had a one inch gash on his face all the way through the haircoat and skin. They apparently had washed it, but it should have had stitches. To this day, he has a large scar on his face. Sadly, I love the concept and convenience of this place, but not the steep prices nor the supervision that was provided in the open facility.
"I am the owner of PetStarz and am only just now seeing these post and wanted to reply to this one. We do remember Squirt.. and yes he was a puppy but a german shep. so he was not small ... and you had even said he could be with the bigger dogs. he was very playfull and full of energy. We watch all the dogs carefully and in the paperwork it does state that "dogs will be dogs" and on occasion there can be nicks and or scratches. My associate told me it was just a nick and that she told you about it when you picked up. We would never try and hide anything from anyone and if you felt it was more that that the next day then I don't understand why you would not just call me or us and if stitches was required I would have certainly taken care of the cost . Why instead just write this review. We really love dogs and can't always control everything . we do a great job and make so many people happy that cannot be home during the day and need our service but we can only hope that people understand that dogs will be dogs and when they are playing and sometime they get rough we do bring it down but on occasion even playing can cause a nick or two by accident. I am sorry about Squirt... and I wish you would have called the next day if you felt there was need for a vet. It seems like in your post you actually did not even go to the vet so I guess it was not as bad after all and I am glad about that.. Deborah"
