This service was for our rental house. The technician said the entire unit needed to be replaced. They charged $90 for a service call and gave my wife a burned part which he said came from our unit. He didn't fix anything. I told my wife that I would call a different company for a second opinion. Their technician came out replaced the capacitor, had it up and running in less than 15 minutes and said that there weren't any other missing parts. That leaves one to ask the question where did that burned up item come from that the Nathan's tech gave my wife. I completely despise dishonesty and we have used Nathan's many times in the past. Usually those service calls were made by my wife because I was overseas. Taking advantage of a lady that is alone by herself when she is trusting of the technicians advice, is criminal. The company may be okay, but that technician is a liar and only partially repairs units in order to make the unit fail again in the future.

It's a really small company, but they always do great work. They do the maintenance and come twice a year. I highly recommend Nathan's. They usually come same day or next day, they are pretty prompt. There is always that moment when their not there when they say they will be, but the are always there.

The installation went good and Nathan's stayed in contact until the invoice was paid in full (which was done promptly upon installation). After the installation, during the first year, we had to contact them three separate times in regards to the unit failing to perform (it stopped working -literally). At no time did anyone from Nathan's ever contact us (us being the owners of the rental property) to go over any repairs, or what was wrong, repairs, etc. Thankfully we have good tenants who kept us informed. Yes, I did ask for Nathan's to follow up with me the second time. I called and explained that I was disappointed because they had failed to keep me informed on the previous repairs, but once again they did not follow up as promised (they have my email, cell phone, etc). I would not say that their services performed were bad, but now that the warranty is expired I will use a different company to do any further repairs, one that is committed to communicating with its paying customers. A HVAC is a big investment and I would rather use a company that sends me an invoice with repairs listed, regardless if there is no charge. The next time it is serviced, I will have no idea what was done the new unit, what was replaced, etc.

Steve arrived on time. He serviced the A/C and found a bad capacitor. He R/R the capacitor and it worked great. He also serviced my other A/C and found no problems. Which made my wife feel good!
Steve is very personable and professional. He completed the service within 30 minutes. I felt the price was very reasonable especially calling on a Saturday morning, Memorial Day weekend. The total price was $242.50 which included a $97 weekend/emergency charge.
Overall, I am very pleased with Nathan's and would recommend them to anyone.

I had requested the work be completed before 12-14-2013 as I had family coming to visit for the holidays. They started removal of the old system on 12-11-2013 and finished installation the next day. All the workmen were very professional and left the job site clean. Even the city inspector who checked their work said they were quite thorough. I would certainly recommend Nathans to others. Having the entire system changed was not cheap by any means, but their quality of work made it worthwhile.

In 2007 they installed a new heat pump. During the installation of the new system they found and corrected errors of the original duct work. They are very efficient in diagnosing a problem, as well as fixing it at a reasonable cost. We also see them once a year for an annual system check in the spring. They always able to show physical problems and offer solutions. They are professional. punctual and competitive. I trust them with all of my heating and a/c needs. They have recently offered and estimate, at no additional cost, on possible air duct replacement, at a very comparable rate.

The guy that came out was very knowledgable and trustworthy. He explained to me exactly what needed to be replaced. He said that it isn't urgent and let me know how much it would be. He did not pressure me into replacing it. He was very courteous.

Install went great. The installers were very punctual and performed the install in less time than expected. They cleaned up after themselves extremely well.
Jimmy, who came to give us the estimate, was very knowledgeable in the products they sell and answered all our questions to help us decide which unit would best suit our needs.
Since my late husband and I used to own a Lennox HVAC dealership in SC, I pretty much knew what would be best for her home. While I would have preferred another Lennox, the prices were way too high for a house that may not be used by us for many of the 20 yrs it should last .
We had previously used this contractor for her rental house. They were always fair and were able to do a service call in an acceptable time frame.

I was trying to call in for service order. However the person answer the phone was so rude that she wanted me to spell my name like kids does. e.g. A for an apple, D for dogs, etc. Of course I may have an accent but this person was talking like she had a PhD in English. If this is how you greet your customer first time I have nothing to with this business firm no matter how great you are. Hope I will never have to use your service. Wanted to be clear this was Saturday afternoon when person answer the phone.

We needed a new Heating and Air system for our home. We had three companies that came out, 2 did a diagnosis. Both companies said we needed a new system. It was very old, and had to be repaired every year for about 5 years. It finally died .

We did three estimates. Nathan's was the hardest to schedule, and they did not give us an and quot;on the spotand quot; estimate. We had to wait for them to mail us one. In my frustration (we were without air now for about a week, AND the temp had already hit the 90s), I was ready to go with one of the other companies. On that same day, Nathan's estimate came.

I am so glad I waited! They gave us more options that the other 2 companies AND they indicated that the lowest estimate would cool and heat our home fine, and provide us with significant energy savings.We went with the Nathans. The estimate was $1600 less than what we would have paid with the other companies.

So far so good.

Nathan's did take longer to get to us, and we had to wait for an estimate, but they were professional, honest and quick once we let them know we wanted them to do the work (they were also professional during the estimate process, just a little bit slower to complete it).

They are very honest as well. Apparently something happend with our upstairs unit while the technician was installing the new one. He called the company and I guess a supervisor came out. They fixed whatever happened and now the upstairs unit is running better than it use to.

Finally as promised the work did not cost one cent over the estimate!

Our heat went out at the end of January for the first time. Nathan's sent a technician that same day (weekend!), fixed the unit, and we paid for a weekend call. Just 4 weeks later, the heat went out again. We called Nathan's again, annoyed in the beginning, but they promptly came out again, fixed yet another problem with the unit. Because I was suspicious, the technician even showed me the new piece he had put in just 4 weeks ago (which still looked sparkly new) and the part that was broken now. He replaced the 2nd part. Yet another 3 weeks later, the unit stopped working again. Utterly frustrated I called Nathan's again (for the third time on a weekend!) and they came out within 2 hours. The technician was downright uncomfortable when he came to the door after repairing the unit yet again. He explained that this was a third part that had just given out and strongly suggested we invest into a new unit rather than trying to fix the one we had. Again, he took me to the unit and showed me what had gone wrong. He was very nice, and even suggested that if money was the problem, to just stick with a space heater for now and get the unit replaced some time over the summer when finances were better. He did not charge us for that third weekend service call, although he had every right to do so. Nathan's is a family business, registered with the Better Business Bureau, and everybody there is very courteous and speaks fluent English!

I called the dispatcher and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. They said they would call back between 12 noon and 2pm to give me a 30 minute window when the technician was going to show up. I was able to stay at work until the 30 minute call and arrived at my home at the same time the technician did. Scott, who was the nicest guy, inspected my unit. He informed me that the ignitor switch had "blown to smithereens", he caution me that the unit itself may have been damaged, but he was going to attempt to rebuild it and would let me know. He fixed the ac unit in less than 30 minutes!!!!! He is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I informed him that for the last couple of years, the house would never really cool down to the temp that I set on the thermostat. He checked the coolant and then went under the house to check out the air handler. He found the air handler was 'clogged really bad', he cleaned it up and put it back together. He was in and out in less than and hour. The whole cost of parts and labor was $133!!!!!! My home is cool and cozy now. He corrected the problems and then some. I HIGHLY recommend this company! I will keep them for my future heating and a/c needs. I am also letting everyone I know how wonderful they were and how reasonable they were. Thanks Nathans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
