Outstanding. Received a phone call from the owner Max within two hours of putting on Angi's list. He was out of state but called me and set up a time to come out on Monday when he returned. Work was completed in under 5 hours. Clean up was complete before he left.

Fantastic! Great work. Great job. Very professional. Highly satisfied. I called Max from Florida to schedule an estimate visit. When I arrived in North Carolina, Max was punctual with the appointment. We agreed on a price and start date. Max (with his crew) arrived punctually at 0530 on day one as he said he would. Max and his crew were very conscientious of debris (double roof tear- off) and laid out tarp 360 degrees around the house. There was threat of rain that day (and throughout the job). Max and his crew tore off and installed new roofing a section at a time with the rain threat in mind. There was a very bad section of roof (rotting valley/soffit wood where a bad leak had been). It was a serious issue as this section needed to be re-designed and rebuilt. Max and his crew thoroughly studied it with me and gave me options for it's repair. They did not rush into a half-baked fix. This critical section was rebuilt in a professional manner. At the end of each day, Max and his crew cleaned up 100% around the house. They were very meticulous in organizing their equipment and cleaning up. The job took about 2 and a half days despite climatic constraints. Max uses a smaller crew (5 including himself) but it allows him to maintain a high quality of craftsmanship. Each day Max and his crew arrived punctually at 0530. When the job was complete, Max and his crew used a blower to clean off the roof, including blowing out the gutters. They did not rush to get paid and get off the site. They took their time meticulously cleaning up any shingle debris around the house. They go completely around the house with magnets to pick up any old debris nails. Simply said, they pay great attention to detail. The crew asked me if I was satisfied with the cleanup prior to their departure. Max is an honest man with a high level of integrity. He has great pride in his work (as does his great crew). He stands by his motto, "One job at at time", and he is with his crew throughout the job. It was refreshing to find a company that is keeps its word, is honest, has pride in its work and makes the customer feel special. I was very satisfied with Max Strickland's Roofing and highly recommend Max for any roofing needs.

This group of workers are awesome!! Very respectful and always kept in touch to inform us on when they would be here. They arrived right on time. Completed the job in a timely fashion with a more than reasonable price. Talked respectfully to us and each other. Most don't think this is important but I do.. They keep their pants up where they belong. Max the owner stays on-site while they are working. They left my property just as clean as it was before they got here. We are already planning the next job for Max and his crew.

Filed a claim with USAA, received a check for about $6K, tried to work with Max to complete my claim so I didn't have to come out of pocket. He refused to provide the necessary info that USAA requested. On top of that, the work was shoddy. In the end, I couldn't complete the claim, and I only was able to pay for cosmetic repairs out of pocket, that were sub-par at best. Cost me $1500 for the repairs, and several thousand more when I sold my home. I would not recommend, nor use again.

"In 2016?? It’s 2020 now!! This story you are telling, sounds like the $6000 check I helped you get to REPLACE you roof, you the homeowner, only wanted to repair it, since you were selling it , so you only spent $1500 to REPAIR your roof, so you could make money off your insurance check, and you put $4500 in your own pocket!! And it took you 4-5 years to lay blame on someone. This is the reason insurance companies don’t help those that really do need help!! The $6000 you received should have been replacing your roof, not for you to put $4500 in your bank account!! Shame on you!! You are guilty!! You told on yourself!! Did you give the insurance company back their money?? No. We have the best rating and reviews on Angie’s list because we do excellent work, not shoddy, as you say!! Your insurance company should read this and demand a refund from you!! Which it sounds like, you made money from them!! Your $6000 payment wasn’t for repairs!!"

Kudos to Max Roofing for a job well done! After checking Angie’s List and reading the excellent reviews, I contacted Max on Friday morning around 9am to see if he could do some roof repairs or possibly replace the roof. He told me that he would be able to check out my roof later in the day. I told him I had an appointment at noon, and he said that he would see me before noon so that I could still make my appointment. Sure enough, Max (the owner) arrived in enough time to inspect my roof, take pics, and share with me what he found upon inspection. And yes, I made my appointment. By the way, Max arrived with a boot on his foot because of a toe injury; however that did not interfere with him getting on the roof and doing the inspection. After talking with Max, I decided that I needed to have my roof replaced. We set up a time for Max and his crew to come the following Monday at 7. However, because of rain, Max called me early Monday morning and told me they would see me Tuesday am. Tuesday am (New Year’s Eve) at 6:55, Max and his crew arrived, and they worked until 5pm completing the job. I don’t know what was more impressive the fact that someone worked on my roof the entire day without a stop in the job, the fact that Max stayed on site with his crew, or the way my yard looked upon completion of the job. You would have never known work had been done on my roof because they left my yard as they found it – free from trash, no debris, no plastic, and no old shingles. Upon completion of the job, the price Max quoted was exactly what was charged. I was very pleased with the professionalism, workmanship, and efficiency with which this job was done. I would recommend Max and his crew to family, friends, and anyone else who I come in contact with who might need a roofer. Thanks again Max!!

After Hurricanes Matthew and Florence, I realized that I needed to repair the roof extension over the door to one of the buildings on my property. I inspected the extent of the damage, and I realized that the water damage beneath the asphalt shingles was severe. Doing the work myself was going to take multiple trips to the hardware store for various supplies. It was going to take an abundance of time and a lot of effort to get the roof repaired before the Spring rain and weather arrives. I remembered that I had Max Strickland's phone number from when he repaired the roof on my house after Hurricane Florence, and I decided to give him a call to get an estimate. An hour later, he is there at my home surveying what would be necessary...etc. We agreed on a price, and at 6:50 a.m., the next morning, he arrives with his crew to go to work on the repairs. By 2:30 pm, the same day, the work is done. They completely removed the damaged roof extension, they rebuilt the entire section - adding some pitch to allow proper rainwater dispersal...put a new rubber roof over the section, sealed it completely, caulked and water proofed the section and the connections to the main building, and they removed all of the damaged debris and other materials from the site. In less than 24 hours of contacting him, the project was done. If I have any roofing needs in the future, I'm calling Max Strickland. He and his crew are professionals, and Max ensures every job is done to the highest standards. As a retired Army Sergeant Major (and homeowner), that's something that I greatly appreciate.

Max was awesome. I live out of town and he worked on my rental property in Fayetteville, NC. He was trusting and trustworthy. He kept me informed about everything with texts and pictures. He also stayed in contact with the tenant and provided her his information if she has any problems with the roof and/or ceiling. I WILL be using Max again for other home repairs. I even referred my parents to him, he was so great! Remember though...you get what you pay for! And I'm glad I spent it with Max Strickland Roofing.

Max returned my call very quickly, even at the end of a business day. I had an issue that was causing a small leak. Max worked with me via phone to figure out how to fix the issue, and came to my house for the repair that same day, within the hour. They showed up, got right to work, and completed the repair very quickly and efficiently! After looking around and speaking with different roofing companies, we chose to go with Max. The price wasn’t the lowest I could find, but him and his crew does everything my hand. No nail guns used. I had a small leak and knew the source of the leak. Max was able to come out before he was able to get to the entire project and temporarily fix the leak. He was realistic about the project and very professional. He was on site everyday and working with the crew. My house took a week to be completed due to size, but they only took off what they knew they could replace within a days time, in case the project was delayed due to rain. I highly recommend Max Strickland roofing! Thank you!

Excellent transaction. Mr. Strickland is a busy, plain spoken gentleman who showed up with his crew, participated in the job, and supervised everything from start to finish. I needed to repair my roof and remove an aging roof vent that was damaged by Hurricane Florence resulting in the roof being compromised. Mr. Strickland suggested several methods to repair and proceed, and after some discussion, we agreed on the method of repair and overall cost. The roof is now completely repaired - to the point that I couldn't even tell where the repairs were made. After this experience, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality, supervised roofing work. This company has a high rating on Angie's List for a good reason.

Max and his crew were there two days after the initial visit. The problems were handled in a very professional manner, with Max present the entire time, overseeing the repairs. We had a minor issue post repairs, and Max was again prompt in responding and addressing the issue. After our most recent rain, Max was in contact to be sure no leaks were noted. Time (and some more rain) will tell if the roof is back to "normal" but we were very impressed with Max and his work ethic. We have every confidence we can count on Max to be there and take care of things should any issues come up in the future. Based on our experience, Max Strickland Roofing is highly recommended!!

Max contacted me to set up a time to check out the problems. He was prompt, friendly, and honest. He looked at the garage ceiling and climbed on the roof to inspect the areas and took pictures to show me some of the issues present that added to the problem. We discussed his proposed plan to fix the problems, how much it would cost, and about how long it would take. He did not require a down payment, which I felt was a very noble business move. He later emailed me a quote which included everything he would do. I contacted him that evening and he was able to start the next morning. He and his crew showed up on time and got to work. They fixed the roof properly, repaired the garage ceiling, cleaned up, and hauled away the debris. His crew was very knowledgeable of their craft and I felt very comfortable with the quality of the work they performed. Max was honest and professional and I would recommend him to anyone and use him again.

Max arrived thr next day, provided a better estimate than the insurance adjuster and completed the repairs of sealing a damaged shingle and other questionable areas on the roof.

Great experience. The company contacted me within the day of of calling them. They worked were flexible on schedules, and were completed within the day. They looked over the entire roof, and provided a fair estimate. When conducting their work, the crew walked the entire roof, and patched up and reinforced all missing and damaged tiles, and additional items. I would definitely look at utilizing this company again and recommending them to others.

He did everything as promised. His work was excellent. His work was also over priced. In my opinion. He lacked ethics and forthrightness. I personally have issues with a Contractor who wants to be paid in cash.

"we made the super service award for 2 years in a row. i trusted you when i told you NO MONEY DOWN, PAY WHEN COMPLETED. you wanted a better deal and you recommended a cash price. i gave you a cash price and you were thinking a check is the same as cash. cash is cash, check is a written check, 2 different styles of payment. but i am glad ,you appreciated our work, but i could have something to say about you having us to wait on you for 3 hours after you said you would return home in 30 minutes. i didnt complain. glad you are still enjoying our work. after work was completed, then you left, and we waited. 3 hours. a shame."
