From beginning to end the service was excellent and the price was very competitive. I was kept informed through email prompts what stage the project was in from bringing out the material to completion. Very trustworthy and high quality work.

Everything went well.  They came, installed the carpet and the job was finished in around 2 hours.  The guys were professional and would definitely recommend them.  Price was under the price from Lowe's.  Through the home remodeling we tried to use Lowe's & Home Depot.

For Home Depot, the experience was good. The subcontractors actually installed the siding only, was fair. I also got vinyl siding.

They sent an email with an estimate which was quite high for the work to be performed. The bottom wire to keep my dog from digging out was not available. They never followed up with me on the quote to see if I had any questions like warranty of their work. Overall the service was poor and the follow-up was non-existent.

They were people there and he was very pleasant. They had a subcontractor. I was in Lowes and looking for someone to do installation of the siding, I was looking for a service that Lowes did not do, but Home Depot did.

My wife and I recently purchased a 1930 Victorian in North Carolina. I went to the HD in Fayettevile NC to look at replacement windows. I talked to the Salesman at the windows are of HD Cory (who was more then helpful) He recommended that I have an associate come to my house and measure windows (salesman) as I have over 30 windows to replace and they will all be custom ordered as I want to keep the original integrity of this home. All my windows are over 6 1/2 feet tall and some have etching in the glass which I want duplicated.
James the salesman showed up 30 mins late which really didn't bother me. But If he was an hour late he would of been asked to leave. James came in measured a few windows as most are the same size. He talked to me about wrapping the trim with aluminum. We settled on the color of the wrap and because of the size of the window James told me he would have to do some research on who could make the windows for me. I do know that HD deals with Anderson Windows and I know they can make any window you want as long as you are willing to pay for it. Well James mentioned if I wanted a quick Quote or for him to give a actual breakdown.
When I heard that I knew I was being blown off. I have been in sales all my life, I am now 57 so a very long time I knew he was
blowing me off and wanted to leave. Anyways I did want an actual price as I am shopping around for the best window for the best price, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He asked for my email address as he told me he would email me an actual break down per window with in a few days. Well after a week went by I had not heard anything so I went to get his card he left. Unfortunately I misplaced it..
I live 60 miles from Fayettevile NC so about a month later I just happen to be in Fayettville. I went to HD and talked to a guy in there window department. While I was there he called James and left a voice mail message for him to call me with my phone number. Well here it is September 3 months later.
Today I found James card and I called his cell phone. at around 6pm this evening he called me back (caller ID) there was a lot of static like he was holding the phone out his window as he drove along. I figured maybe it was a bad connection as cell phones can do that. here it is 6 hours later and James never called back. Guess I will call HD tomorrow and talk to his supervisor. (why people do not want to do there job just amazes me and the fact that they still have one rattles my brain even more.)
In the mean time I had a rep from Lowes come to my home and he was actually 10 mins early and very professional. He took the time to measure every window even though a lot of them where the same size, when the Rep. from Lowes left he told me he would call me the next day with a price. Guess what HE DID!!!! the price he gave me was very expensive but I knew it would be. I told him I was going on Vacation in a week and I would call him back when I got home. I now have an appointment with this gentlemen tomorrow to go to Lowes in Lumberton NC to look at the type of window he was thinking about installing.

They gave a good price. They were very courteous and on time. They finished the job the way they said they would.

Termite had eaten through part of my living room floor I needed lumber and a new floor.
I am an avid user of HomeDepot and Lowes since I move in my father fix it up home.

We are very pleased with their product and installation. They did an excellent job. We are pleased with the way the work went, the people who did it and their attitude when they were here. Everything that we encountered was adjusted and taken care of for our satisfaction. We were very pleased with their prices as well their quality because they had a wide range of selections within our price range; we got the best for our price range. They were very responsive.

I had to pay a large upfront deposit at Home Depot but I was on time with returning the equipment in good condition so I got the deposit back. It was a good experience. Their quality and professionalism were excellent.

Scheduled an estimate without any issues. Told me that the old vinyl had to be removed which according to the warrenty was correct.Their estimate came in at about the same price except for the removal of the vinyl. Other estimates just wanted to throw more vinyl on top. Day of the install the showed up right in the middle of their show time I was told to expect. They got right to work and worked for about 7 hours. The floor looks great.

The estimate was too high, more than what we wanted to pay.

Basically I've got stock in Home Depot, I want to use them, but I'm not sure if they give nil paid discounts but Lowe's does. I am not a stock trader, it's more of an investment, so I have held on to it. I fairly like Home Depot, or I wouldn't have stock. My feeling about stores like Home Depot is that they are too big. I understand the need for them, particularly in the more populous centers of the US. There was a tremendous need for them, and what I believe happened was that they were successful in those more populous centers. But they needed growth, so they went out into less populous centers like here in Fayetteville. They are just a little bit too large to be useful to the normal home owner. The old hardware stores offered a little bit more efficiency for the home owner. How much I spend when I go there depends upon the project I am working on, and it can vary from five dollars to several hundred dollars. The staff there is busy, and they have a large area to attend to, so they are not always easy to find in the store. At times, they have had very professional representatives in there. I don't know if it's because the work force is getting less experienced or what, but more recently they have run into problems, and they really didn't know any more about it than I do.

They were fast and efficient. We were pleased with their job. If it’s not done right, then they will probably get somebody to come in and do it right because they don’t want to lose a customer. I think that the price was pretty good.
