Holmes security systems is a division of Holmes Electric, Inc., a 108 year old family owned company founded in Fayetteville, NC. With offices in Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC, Holmes Security offers burglar and fire alarm systems, access control systems, camera systems, home automation and Total Connect - control your systems from your cell phone, iPad or computer - for residential and commercial customers throughout southeastern NC. Holmes Security owns and operates it own U.L. Listed central monitoring station, and has been awarded the prestigious "Five Diamond Certification" by the central station alarm association (CSAA). Holmes Security offers monitoring services and can monitor most alarm systems whether we installed the system or not. Holmes Security is an authorized Honeywell preferred dealer.

The entire process, from initiating the contract to installation to customer service, has been fantastic. Not only is the system monitored locally, they are very quick to call if anything goes wrong.

It's been good. I change over to them because I lost my medical alert system button and the guy that I have my system with me told me that it will cost me a 180$ or something to get a new button. So I said I'm gonna check with the other company and it finally came down about 60$ and that really turned me off. I switch to them about 4 years ago and I pay 250$ yearly for their service.

They are local. They are not some monitoring system in some other state. They are active in the community. They also enhanced our alarm system about a decade ago by adding motion detectors. We need to get the whole system again so I will be working with them again probably in the next 12 months. Their price might be a little bit more but again, I am willing to pay it simply because I know that they are local. If I have an issue, I don't have to wait for a contractor to come because they have their own employees. They send out newletters quarterly. I get billed once a year for the monitoring services. Every time I call, someone is there to pick up the phone right away. They are friendly whenever I do speak with them on the phone. They also encourage me to update my information as far as phone numbers and people to notify that contact list.
