I'm not sure of the date, but I can tell you that last year I took my car for an oil change, inspection and for them to fix the check engine light problem...after keeping my car for almost three days, they only changed the oil and inspected the car. I went by the second day and my car was not even in the bay...they changed the oil, inspected it and parked it out back. They said they would call me the next day...the next afternoon I called them and they said they were still working on it....I went by and told them to forget it. All cars that came after me where in the bay or already done and gone and mine was still in the back. They were going to over charge me for the oil change and when I asked why I was being charged so much, since I had always had my oil changed there, I was told that it was a mistake, that someone wrote that I had gotten synthetic oil, which I had not....so they corrected that. Never took my car back there again.
Sooo, a few months ago, my husband had a problem with his truck and the engine light also...again, they kept the truck for two days and we had to call to see what was going on and they said they were still working on it. We finally did the same thing that we did with the car....just drove over there, truck was out back, we picked it up and off we went to never, ever go back again.
In speaking with different friends, I have found out that they had had the same experience about this place keeping their car for days and not fixing it.
I think if they cannot fix the problem, they should let the customer know and not keep the car/truck parked out back for a few days making believe that something is being done.
.I have used Harrells for years. They took care of my 1999 Tahoe from 49000 miles to 308000 miles. During that time they did a lot of work. Always gave a good estimate and stuck to it. On a couple of occasions in that 10 year period issues came up about the repairs. I sold the Tahoe to my daughter and they have put 12000 more miles on it. Still original engine and tranmission.
They always handled the issues to my satisfaction.
I highly recommend their work.
I generally work with Randy but have found all of their employees to be very well trained and professional.
