Electrical Service
they first did a diagnostic and when time came to do the work, the technician informed me that he sees another problem that he didn't notice the first time he was at my home. i was annoyed because i felt like he did not do a thourough diagnostic and this set me back another week without a working oven.

Electrical Service
I called previous to the appointment date to ensure the importance of getting a phone call when the technician was on his way (although I didn't find it necessary to explain why). The customer service representative said they will call when the technician was on his way.
Halfway through the scheduled appointment time, I called the customer service for the company and asked if there was any way I could find out an estimated time within the 3 hour window I had remaining the technician may arrive. I had to pick up my son from school and couldn't gamble with a 5 1/2 hour window for a service call that was dwindling down. The customer service representative said she there was no way to find out when he would be coming out.
At 4 P.M, 1 hour remaining on my service call window, I called Harold's Electric to let them know I hadn't received any phone call or notification that the technician was on his way. At this point I was going to get my son from school and be back for 4:45. We live 20 miles from town and I figured if he wasn't on his way by now, I would make it home in time. That is when the customer service rep. finally decided to call the technician while I was on hold. She told me he was on his way!! I told her I was turning around to be there when he arrives. She then explained to me that she told him to cancel the call. She attempted to call him back right away and got his voice mail.
Throughout the ordeal I felt as though I was being treated as a second class citizen, not a customer. I have never had that many problems with any type of service call at the house. I would not recommend this company to anyone that works or cannot waste 5 1/2 hours.

Appliance Repair
On Feb 8, 2011 Harold's Electrical Repairs was contacted to determine the date and time they would perform the repair. The person taking the call was not very helpful or friendly choosing only to say that the repairman would be out during a 5 hour window and would call when he was on his way. She further explained that he would only call once and if the line was busy or not answered he would not come to the house. It was explained that someone would definitely be at the house all day but she again said that the call had to be answered during their one call or the repair would have to be rescheduled...no exceptions. A second number was offered in the event the line happened to be busy but the rep said the repairman was only required to make one call and that was the only call he would make. With that being said I'll fast forward to the day of the first visit. (Thank goodness the phone was answered before the second ring). The stove could not be repaired because the repairman did not have the part to complete the repair. He promised that we would receive a call within a day with a status on the part and when it would be installed but I had to call them when three days later they still hadn't contacted us. I was told the part could not be located and American Home Shield was now looking for the part and I should contact them for the status of their search. AHS explained that they had not received word from Harold's Electric about the part but would contact them. Fast forward to Feb 22nd when Harold's informed us they had the part and would install it between noon and 5 PM on Friday, Feb 25th...same conditions as before (one phone call when the repairman was on the way). At 4:30 their office called to say he would not be coming to the house because he doesn't work past 5 PM and they would reschedule the repair for the same 5 hour window on Monday Feb 28th. It was requested that we be placed at or near the top of the 5 hour window since obviously we were scheduled for repair before anyone on their Monday list and had also already missed significant time at work standing by but they refused. The repairman that completed the repair was as cold and unapologetic about our 3 week ordeal as their front office representative was. I will NEVER do business with them again. The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced!!
