Quality care was provided for both my dog and the resulting puppies. Great care was given by the entire staff! I will always use Cliffdale Animal Hospital
It took about 2 years before we could get another dog. When we got Kona, (also a chocolate lab), we took her (our side of town) to where her parents were treated. Had questionable and expensive care for her limping and other problems. Casting and severely sedating her for months. After spending a lot of money, I took her to Dr. Valenti, who immediately diagnosed her problem and explained what was happening, and how to treat it, and gave us medication.
Still not learning my lesson, I started taking her to a vet that was incredibly convienent to work, where I could drop her off in the morning, pick her up after work, etc. Well, then I had issues with them that she would come back limping, or extremly thirsty, and I would spend money for xRays when we already knew what was wrong with the limping. Dud, being a lab, had little growths that occasionally had to be removed. Dr. Valenti told us they were just fatty tumors and not to bring her back unless they impeded her mobility. With this dog, Kona, she told me the same thing, instead of taking her in, spending hundreds of dollars to have one removed, don't do anything unless there is a problem.
So, having learned my lesson, even though it takes me an additional hour or so to go to Dr. Valenti, we will always do so, because I love my dog (even though she is a hyperactive, attention deficeit disorder dog -per our trainer), and I trust Dr. Valenti.
