I had Chapman Wilson install new vinyl windows in my rental house. They were very professional and the crew made sure to keep my yard as clean as it was when they showed up. They were very fast and efficient and the work was done right. I would use Chapman Wilson for all my future projects and would recommend them to anyone who is wanting work done on their home. This company is a very professional company and has a great staff in office as well as the installers!

Gonna keep this short. They did work on my mothers house, installing new windows, wood flooring and new siding. That was fine. They used subcontractors the entire time. They were kind of trashy people that I would never associate with myself but whatever. HOWEVER, on of them lied and said my mother assaulted them using a bump they got on the head in the garage from standing up too quickly as proof. Took her to court for assault with a deadly weapon. While the work was adequate and on time I say steer far clear of this company because their workings will bear false witness against you!

Work was completed quickly and on schedule.  The work performed was sub-standard.  I had to repair the crawl space access door as it was falling in from the roof.  Fan relocation was part of the design, however the sub-contractor didnt want to move it without charging an additional $50, it was later resolved by getting the Office Manager involved.  The AC installers were walking around on newly installed carpet with dirty boots until I asked them to put a drop cloth down or remove their boots.
This biggest disappointment was the AC installation which we have had to have work completed on twice.  With a unit that is new you wouldn't expect a freon leak so quickly.  They also incorrectly installed the AC pumping where the AC was draining from the secondary instead of the primary drain which caused water build up in the over flow pan and rust to accumulate.
We hired a local AC repairman to correct the plumbing, but will have to spend more money to determine where the freeon is leaking which could prove costly.
Overall a shoddy job and will not contact them again for any services.

I liked that they had a main guy out there everyday and the subs were all good.  Any issues we had, such as with a painter, were handled immediately.

Had some loose shingles that blew off after a storm. Called Chapman Wilson for a quote to get the job done. They sent a guy out to do the assessment while I was at work. I did not know he was coming out during that time as well. Anyway, this guy did the work prior to even talking to me and ensuring that I could afford the work being done. -- Sooo I came home after work a couple of days later and noticed that the shingle work had done, but not complete. So I get a bill in the mail from Chapman Wilson saying that I owed them for 150 or so. I can easily afford the amount, but on principle told them I would not pay until the work was completed and that I was satisfied. They made me out to be a bad customer and said that the work was done and I had to pay. Mind you, I never received a quote, never reviewed the work with the worker/company, and spoke with them many times. Anyway, I deployed for a bit and came back with delinquent notices. My wife tried to explained to them the issue but they just weren't hearing it. We got another letter in the mail and it stated it that there was a lien placed on the home for the work. Ultimately I had the work done correctly and then paid the bill a year later. The problem is, Chapman Wilson never removed the lien from the courthouse as well. So when trying to sell the home, we have this little legal matter pending. In short - shady business and for sure does not put the customer first. Would steer clear from this company. Once again, never received a quote, work was done without my approval or review, and they were just not working in my interest as a paying customer. Criminal in opinion.

Chapman-Wilson Pools and Spa were contracted to clean our pool, still after almost one month and 15 days, the pools still cloudy/chemical off balance.  After numerous times of trying to get rid of the algae and many failed attempts by Chapman-Wilson Pools and Spa, I had to demand from them to start brushing the bottom of the pool after Chapman-Wilson poor algaecide in the water.  I explained to them that algae creates a mucus membrane on top that will protect them from the algaecide if is not brush.  You would expect that a pool company will know this, but this one did not. After the Algae was cleared, I started testing the water every time Chapman-Wilson Pools and Spa came to my house and kept a log of their actions; you would expect from a professional pool cleaning and service company that the first thing they would do is to balance the chemicals in the water, i.e (PH, Free/Total/Combine Chlorine( Alkaline, Calcium and PH).  But this company did not, they kept putting chemicals in the water without even taking samples in order to see if the chemicals were working or not.  Neither is to say, that after a month and a half and over 20 visits to the pool, the water still cloudy.  The last time they came to the house, the added some chemicals that had no effect on the pool.  As a pool professional, they should know, that the first thing you need to balance in the water is alkaline, because it also raises the PH level.  The last visit, they added PH and alkaline, this was a waste of money, resources and effort. They are doing things backwards, without purpose or end state which is to make the water clear.  Bottom line, this company failed to deliver in every aspect, never kept a log of chemical levels in the pool, failed to add stabilizer to the water, which is critical in order to maintain the chlorine levels and kill bacteria, and failed to get rid of the combine chlorine which affect the total chlorine from doing its job, which is killing bacteria and making the water clear.  They just kept adding chlorine to the pool, and it will only last a day or two to because they failed to stabilize the water.  Below are the water results taken the day after they came:

Combined chlorine concentration is above recommended levels

Add => 2 lb 8.5 oz Calcium Hypochlorite Shock 1

A chlorine shock treatment is needed. This should be made at night or when the pool is not being used. The pool should not be used until the free available chlorine concentration is again within the ideal range.

Be sure to pre-dissolve before adding.

PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

Yesterday before leaving we asked Chapman-Wilson rep that came to provide service to our pool, to write down for us the chemicals he poured into the pool (see attachment). By looking at what he wrote and what was actually needed to be added into the pool, one can only come to understand why this company has failed to get the pool back to normal...

* 42 lb 13.1 oz Sodium Bicarbonate needed to be added to raise ALK - only 4 lbs added by Chapman-Wilson

* 43 lb 13 oz of Calcium Chloride needed to be added as Hardness is low - 0 lb added by Chapman-Wilson

* 10 lb 8.6 oz of Cyanuric Acid needed to be added as Stabilizer is low - 0 lb added by Chapman-Wilson

* 66 lb 7.9 oz of Borate recommended to be added - 0 lb added by Chapman-Wilson

* Chapman-Wilson also noted that he added 3 lb of chlorine shock (to bring chlorine within range) which it?s not a bad thing to do, but due to the actual conditions of the poll its most definitely a waste as if the pool is not stabilized first, then the chlorine will dissipate within hours which is most certainly the reason why the pool is murky and cloudy.

It is important to maintain a CLEAN SALT CELL & FILTERS so chlorine can be continuously produced, by looking at the attached pics you will be able to see that the system at this pool is in urgent need of cleaning. Salt cells that have a lot of scale or calcium build up cannot effectively produce sanitizer, have low chlorine production, increase formation of algae, reduces cell live and often create flow issues within the pool system.  WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

It went well. I thought that they were excellent in the beginning and they actually came out and saw what I saw. Kevin did a really good job doing what I expected to be done. The manager that oversees all of it, I was not happy with him. They put the pool on a hill, they had to do a double retaining wall. They built a ramp for my son. The ramp has a lean to it. He tried to tell me that it is an optical illusion. They promised me a turnkey job. They did not grate the ground properly and the city came out and told me that I have to have a safety gate on the wheel chair ramp and they did not put the gate up. I was not impressed with the way the manager treated me. I would us them again.

I was happy with their work.  They were quick, they were fact but they made sure the fan was refilled and the filter and everything was checked.  They made sure everything was up to snuff.  The pool was not leaking.  They drained and filled it back up.  I have never heard anything negative about using them.

Project Manager was Kevin. He was unprofessional. When he made a mistake or miscalculation he did not want to redo it. He rather

"fix" it but not to customer satisfaction, We had many "discussions" over quality of work. Asked him to be removed from the project. Chapman/Wilson refused. Said he would complete and with a smile. I was the one not smiling. Problems too numerous to discuss. Project took too long. Sloppy work. Had to have oversight or short cuts made. Not happy. Would not use again.

I recently put my mothers home up for sale and helped her in purchasing a new one. We called Chapman Wilson to make repairs to the old home to pass the inspection from the home inspector.  They took the time to send out their carpenters and meet with the inspectors and clear up all issues for the new homeowner. (the new homeowner was so impressed that she hired them to put new windows in the home as well that she is very pleased with ) .Their crews were so patient and did a great job even the home inspector said that their work was beyond the standard set in the industry. They charged a very fair price and did not even charge for some last minute repairs. When we purchased her new home we called them right away for some repairs and cosmetic work. They came out took measurements and did everything from hanging some new vinyl molding to putting up yard lamps. They took their time with my mother and made sure that her new home was not only comfortable but secure. I want to let them know how much I appreciate their efforts and their kindness to my mother. I feel very comfortable hiring them for any home improvement need in the future and recommend them to anyone wanting good quality work.

I went to Chapman Wilson's local showroom and looked at their large selection of hot tubs. I chose a Cal spa . I have been so happy with my choice. Because of consistent back pain I use my hot tub quite often so I had them come and install a roof over it and put a door close to the tub. I have been very happy with the result. I am able to access the hot tub easily and all their crews were more than helpful in the installation and wiring of the tub. The pergola built over it looks like it came out of a magazine. Their attention to detail was top notch and I know was very time consuming but these guys cared. They were more than carpenters. They were craftsmen. I appreciate all of their detail and effort. It is nice to know there still exist someone that wants to leave your home better than they found it. From the Sales staff to the workers I found everyone to be kind and courteous. I have referred several friend and even my own mother to them for home repairs and everyone says the same. It was fantastic and they have been very happy with all the work done. Anytime there has ever been a question this company responded quickly and resolved the question with complete professionalism. I will use them again and again. It is so nice to have someone in this field I can rely on over and over again.

When I purchased my home I had a small screen room on the back. I hired Chapman Wilson to come and give me a price to change it into a sunroom. They not only changed it to a complete sunroom but installed vinyl siding and matched my home perfectly. The workman were kind and prompt and even took extra care to keep my animals from getting out of the yard while they worked. Everyone that sees my sunroom thinks that I was always with the home. No one can tell it is an added on feature. We appreciate their attention to detail and even installing removable screens for the different seasons so we can enjoy the fresh air. It is so nice to still have a company that cares what not only you want but looks down the road and installs with the highest grade of products to ensure I will be happy for many years to come. Thanks again Chapman Wilson and all its staff. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction.

This is a top notch company for making your backyard into a sanctuary. We had Chapman Wilson come and give a price for a swimming pool and large stamped concrete patio on our home. We met with Charles Young the sales representative who was kind and courteous and very knowledgeable. He gave us many options of where and what type of pool to have installed. We went with a octagon shape pool and are so happy we took their advice. From the initial pool layout to the final product their service was exemplary. I always was kept up to date on the day to day operations and the crews were very kind and attentive to my home. They even worked on Saturday. I cannot express how happy I am not only with the pool but also the concrete around it and my patio. Their concrete workers were quick and fantastic. I had stamped concrete and most people mistake it for stone. Overall I am completely satisfied and would recommend this company for anyone who would like to turn their backyard into an oasis. I am going to be calling again for an outdoor kitchen like on their website. Quality is assured with this company.

Time line not met - months over due.
Workers never on time.
Electrician sub-standard; never finished the work, and did not use a level for the outlets.
Damage due to the fault of this company to our wooden floors not repaired.
Debris left in house for many weeks before removal (we resided in the house during the remodel)
Company did not level the sub-floor prior to installing new flooring. (we ended up doing that ourselves without compensation)
Company did not cut holes in the cabinet shelves for the stove vent pipe.  They were going to through the shelves away (there are 3 of them).  We completed this task and saved the shelves, without compensation)
Plumbers that were hired to run waterlines crushed AC duck-work under house which caused an AC failure - this had to be repaired.
Owner agreed to come  and survey the process we were displeased with and the damaged floor, then he called as backed out.
Tile:
Company made us pick-up the grout from the store for the glass tile, and insisted it be sanded grout...which should not be used with glass tiles, so we brought back non-sanded grout.  This caused issues between the company and the tile sub-contractor.
Company installed glass tile that was chipped and did not sand glass edges. Fought to have them repair the tiles.
Company sent tile people back to repair tile, who were angry about this.  They used a roto-zip to take tiles out, causing glass shards to fly everywhere...WHILE my and my son were in the kitchen with ..no one - even the workers, where wearing eye protection.  I told the company that this tile subcontractor is to stop immediately and that they are not to return to my house.
Company finally called in more professionals companies to finish the job. One for the floor (Dehu Construction), one for the tile repairs (unknown), and the electrical work (Cain Electric).
Chapman-Wilson did not repair the wood floors in the foyer and dinning room where they had stripped the sealant off.  We are still living with this damage to the floors.

We called Chapman Wilson for a quote on siding. They came out and did
the quote and soon after started the siding. The workers put the siding
on wrong with the seams going the short way under the eve of the house
and we requested for it to be exactly as we had agreed to. They had to
remove it and replace it. During their work here the workers backed into
our chain link fence gate and broke the gate. We withheld final payment
and they kept sending us threatening letter after threatening letter.
We explained when you fix our gate we'll make the final payment. They
wouldn't answer any phone calls and just kept putting us off all the
while threatening us. We finally had to see a lawyer (it's the
principle) and have him contact them. Only THEN did they show up to fix
the gate. When my father went to the place of business to make the final
payment the owner said "it didn't have to go that far". Yeah, right it
sure didn't if they'd have just fixed the gate after they broke it.
Never ever would I use them again.
The installation was not professional in parts. When they left a gap they just covered with a piece of plastic tubing.

Salesman was very arrogant, that should have been our first clue.  He wanted an answer by the next morning.  We were new in town and thought that because this was a big, well known company it was the best. Not so, it is the worst.  In the contract the deck was supposed to have first grade wood and we were told that it would be built strong enough to support the weight of a hot tub. They used 2nd grade wood that was terrible, which we had them change and we still had to cover it with outdoor carpet because nails and splinters were popping up.  When it was ready for the final inspection it did not pass, the girders in the deck floor did not have adequate support columns or footings.  The central and outside girder next to the steps needed supports.  The step configuraton  does not provide any support.  You couldn't touch the railing without getting splinters, so we ourselves covered the railing with composit decking.
In the sunroom, they told us to choose the color of the paint.  We went to the store of their choice, gave them the color and number. We were not home the day they painted.  They decided to match the paint to the livingroom wall which was creamy white.  It  was supposed to be dark green.  After nine coats of paint they finally got it right but they used flat paint and you cannot touch the walls without leaving white smears.  They did not frame out the doorway right and that had to be changed.  The ceiling was a mess, the gutters leaked and water poured down onto the windows which leaked too.  We had to call them back to put up the crown moulding which they forgot to do.  We were going to have them put a pool in for us but needless to say after seeing how they work we decided to go with another company.

This is not the company to call for pool work.  As a widow I feel I was taken advantage of and received poor advice from this company and poor quality workmanship.  I received estimates to repair pool walls that were deteriorating from paint peel off, and re-grout surrounding tile.  Since their quote of approx 5500.00 to repaint was the cheapest of my options, I went with them.  NOTE: the salesman sent out to give evaluate job and give estimates is not a pool expert.  What my pool needed was re-plastering (I learned that after the fact)  but painting was recommended by their salesman as a cheaper option with my budget.  Their proposal was basically to spackle the deterioration and repaint.   There were problems from beginning to end and I haven't listed all of them but for example,  the spackle they used apparently wasn't mixed properly, cracked, and had to be removed and re-spackled with another product, etc..  Also, it was apparent that the people they contracted to do the painting and patching were not familiar with the process of applying epoxy paint and it showed in their prep work.   I observed them prepping the walls differently than recommended by EVERY resource I researched on epoxy application  They assured me it would be fine. Within one week of pool refill, paint was bubbling up and peeling off.  I Called CHAPMAN WILSON to let them know and we agreed to deal with the issues at the end of season.  After several dates of not showing up when scheduled throughout the fall and winter, they eventually came in early spring to drain pool.   During the time the pool was drained the paint was bubbled up and peeling off throughout the whole pool surface. By this time I could not afford to start from scratch with a different company and I let them try to repair their work.  Their solution was to hand-scrape and repaint.  When I asked if sandblasting might not be more thorough, since new paint areas were continuing to peel daily,  I was told that they couldn't do that.  Then they wanted to paint with acrylic instead of epoxy, assuring me that there would be less problems and it would cover the epoxy.  It's not as long lasting as epoxy but I said fine I just wanted to be done and doubted the same people could reapply the epoxy correctly a second time anyway.  Near the end, the assistant boss made it sound as if I had a  "freak pool"  or problem pool that made the job difficult (really??) I also asked the owner about getting a partial refund due to the two year fiasco.  He actually was rude to me, along with the receptionist when settling my bill for an highly overpriced pool filter motor (I know because I priced them)  I definitely got the feeling I was their "problem child" and they just wanted me to go away.   I learned a hard, expensive lesson.  Get an actual pool expert with years of experience and positive references to do expensive pool work, not a home improvement company who uses a salesman to evaluate a job, and subcontracts the work out to other people.  Oh, and within a month of the repair, the paint started peeling up again.  I didn't even bother to contact them.  I was more than done.
