I had a rental that needed the floors replaced and a ceiling patch done. They did a good job on that one. With the floors I contacted them a month before my home closing to sand and refinish the floors. It was part of my contract. We had to push back the home closing because the floors were not complete. The subcontractor could not complete because he had to go out of town. I was the one doing the calling to get statuses. In the end I called a different company to come and complete the job.

Buddy and Daniel arrived exactly on time. They went right to work upon arrival. We had a few pieces of large furniture in the area they were to work. They told me,or actually insisted , that they would move the furniture as need ed to do the job. They were extremely professional and answered any question about the materials they were installing in a manner that made me believe that they knew what they were doing. When they were done, they cleaned up the entire area they worked in to include the drive way where they had their table saw at. You couldn't even tell they had been there. The result is that we will consider them for any future needs that we have that they could provide.

Nearly everyone will take the time to complain or write a bad review, but my wife and I just want to take a moment to say thank you and to recognize Cape Fear Flooring & Restoration, who were lifesavers when we had a hot water pipe blow out of the wall below the vanity in one of our bathrooms about 3 PM on a Monday. It flooded both bathrooms and sent water down into the HVAC duct, out into the hallway, as well as under the wall and into the den...and, we have hardwood floors! They were highly recommended by our plumber David, and after a quick call from myself and our plumber, Lisa was at our house before David even left from fixing the pipe! Her water remediation crew was on-site within the hour, which was nearly an hour before the contractor recommended by our homeowner's insurance arrived, (who was called before Lisa)! Never having done this before, we took a leap of faith and chose Cape Fear over the other contractor and they immediately began the arduous task of water remediation and demolition, which included detailed documentation and extensive photographs of all phases of work for us and our insurance company. (The other contractor may have taken days to get to us). Cape Fear’s crew: Sara, Jeff, and Lawrence worked tirelessly into the night, but gave thought to our 'livability' as well, making sure we had a usable toilet and shower. That kind of thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Their quick actions and water remediation efforts saved our hardwood floors too! Cape Fear has been with us every step of the way, and is doing the restoration work as well. Their documentation and estimates were accepted by our insurance immediately, and checks were issued quickly, no doubt due to their excellent documentation and previous work with our insurance company. Lisa, our Project Manager has been wonderful to work with throughout the whole ordeal. I couldn’t ask for anyone better. If you experience a disaster, epic or minor, we cannot recommend anyone higher than the folks at Cape Fear Flooring & Restoration! Thank you Cape Fear Flooring!

We had some water damage that was covered by our insurance. The contractor was hired to demo the damage and then replace and build up the floor again. The people in the office could never give us a straight answer and it took forever for our project to get started. The demo crew destroyed the paint on our walls and they almost got away with not fixing it. The people that do the actual work (aside from demolition) do an excellent job, but that's only if you can get past the underhandedness of the office crew as well as their lack of professionalism and communication.

The team did an outstanding job. They were always on time and courteous. Any mess made was cleaned and all trash removed.

Drying process was good. Then actually trying to get them to start the other process took 2 months. Communication with them was terrible. No one ever knew who was in charge. Poor lack of organization on time frame. Never cared about their time management.

1 delivered carpet to wrong address on install day. 2 on reschedule I asked for early AM install, installers showed in afternoon. 3 one room of carpet had a fold in backing so new carpet had to be ordered with a new install date had to be set for that room. 4 house vac cover was knocked off the wall and replaced hoping I would not notice. 5 Cape Fear Flooring was notified of house vac system damage and made no effort to repair the damage. 6 I asked installer to repair damage and he stated that it was badly installed to start with. 7 Company salesman made no attempt to explain options for transitions and industrial metal transitions were installed. I had to pay installer $25 to install wood that he said he got from company warehouse. 8 no attempt was made to remove old staples from previous backing so new carpet has lumps. 9 No quality control attempts have been made to date. The company is not checking on the satisfaction of customers but is quite willing to take your money. I would not recommend this company.

They're pretty helpful as far as what kind of price range we wanted to stay in. They're pretty upfront about everything.

The floor looked nice but I have few problems getting it look to nice.  It went okay dealing with them but we had problems and I think it was the filled contract that came in.  He was going to put pressed wood down for the quarter plywood that was supposed to be there but when we called the office, he said no and he will go dig it for him to put the right wood in.  But we just had to walk him through it and that was all it was.  But the floor looked great and I just have to wax it to make sure it was done the way it was supposed to.  They hired somebody else to take out the floor.  The people themselves that I dealt with as far as them coming out and looking at the floor, were nice and good. But the contractors they hired were the ones I had to look over and watch.  I will probably hire them again but I just have to watch who they will send out.

Annie, was upfront and was helpful throughout this project. She didn't pressure us at all and let us pick exactly what we wanted. Her crew was professional and were happy with how it turned out.

My puppy tried to dig his way out of a bedroom, so I needed the carpet replaced in the doorway. I went into the store and they were able to give me an appointment for the following week. I called them the morning of the appointment and asked if they could show up 15 minutes late. I was at an appointment and wanted to make sure I made it home before they did, so that they wouldn't be waiting on me. They told me that would be fine and to call when I made it home. I made it home a minute before my original appointment time and called them immediately. Fourty-five minutes later a guy showed up to replace my carpet. He never told me his name and he had his son with him.The carpet was taken from a closet and put in the doorway and new carpet was put in the closet.

The problem is that the carpet from the closet isn't worn down, so it's noticeably brighter. And the carpet in the closet is too light becuase it was matched off a piece of carpet from the doorway. There's nothing I can do about it now. Just wish they would've said something before, so that when I brought in the carpet patch it could've been matched correctly.
