My fireplace renovation project began well. I knew him from the roofing project we'd just had done.  He was polite and enthusiastic about this project.  He put up plastic barriers over the entire room and doors to keep dust out of the rest of the house. Demolition of the old fireplace surround went quickly and the preliminary construction was done properly.  However, continued late arrivals to work caused the pace of the project to slow down and then a previously scheduled vacation forced a weeks delay.  From then on, he was N/A.  Promises and scheduled work times came and went with no sign of the man or the final item in the project... the fireplace doors.  It looks like a loss or a trip to small claims court.
