HORRIBLE! These people are no way close to being skilled. My hardwoods were left unevenly stained, with nails showing, holes in floor that were not there before, uneven and stain was found on baseboards and cabinets. When they were contacted regarding these things they wanted to charge a ridiculous amount to fix issues that should have been discussed prior to them starting the work. These people are not the best at their craft by far. I would never have them to work on my floors again.

The work was beautiful, the tiles was laminated and he has the store and he installs it as well. They moved the big furniture and put it back too.

Anthony (owner of AFS) came and gave us a fairly reasonable quote to install our ceramic tile. We had purchased everything he said he would need and we explained that we wanted the wood flooring in our formal dining room and entry way removed, linoleum in the kitchen removed, and tile installed throughout the kitchen/dining/front entry. It was estimated to be a 4-5 day project. During the time that he came to give us an estimate, I expressed my concern about being able to remove the dishwasher and that they NOT install the tile flush to the dishwasher so that we would be able to remove it when it needed to be replaced. We also installed new carpet the year before and Anthony reassured me that they would put plastic liner on the carpet to reduce the amount of dust being tracked on the carpet. Day 1 the crew shows up to remove wood flooring and install the hardy board. There wasn't any plastic on the carpet, but because they were entering the house through the garage and they were only doing removal on day 1, I didn't think it would be an issue. They installed the hardy board OVER the linoleum. Anthony said that it wouldn't affect the way the appliances lined up to the counter tops and that it wouldn't affect the removal of the dishwasher. They also had to place about 8 sheets of subfloor underlayment in the formal dining room because the floor wasn't flush with the kitchen after the wood floor was removed (most likely because the linoleum was STILL in place). Days 2-4 the crew would show up but Anthony was either always late or fail to show. The crew used my husband's tile saw to cut the tiles, replaced their drill battery with my husbands, and helped themselves to entire 12 pack of beer throughout the course of the job. The tile floor is uneven, the grout lines are crooked, they installed cracked or broken tile, and we stub our toes on what should be level flooring. The work was given a one year warranty. I called Anthony about 2 weeks after the job was complete to discuss a tile that was visibly cracked and to discuss the broken tiles that were installed. I didn't get a response for quite a while... like MONTHS. When he finally came to replace the cracked tile, he installed the tile without removing the shoe molding so there is a VISIBLE gap between the tile and the shoe molding. He said that he didn't have the right tools to fix the broken tile and that he would be back. He NEVER came back or called. Our dishwasher finally gave out on us and needed to be replaced. They installed the tile right up to the dishwasher, so my husband had to chisel away at the tile to adjust the height of the dishwasher and yank the dishwasher out. We spent a lot of money on the tile and all of the other supplies that were needed to update our flooring, only to be completely disappointed with the quality of work that Anthony and AFS Flooring provided. We're stuck with these floors, that every time I clean, I find another crack in an uneven tile. I'm just sorry that I waited this long to provide a review. I only hope that they haven't destroyed anyone else's floors! DO NOT USE AFS FLOORING!

Installation looked good but shortly afterwards the quarter round trim started coming loose from the wall. Also noticed many places were just poor quality work had been done by the installers. They were the top floor installer in my area on Angie's list. Not only will I not use their devices again but I will never use Angie's list again.

AFS did a wonderful job for a reasonable price. They were on time and got it done that day. Very professional and courteous.

In my Fathers house their is a room that looked un repairable and no one I had in their before could tell me what it was on the floor or how to get it up. but as soon as Anthony walked in he explained exactly what it was and what needed to be done and what it would look like when he was finished. to be honest I was still scratching my head but I did have faith in him because he was the only one who knew what was on the floor and knew how to fix the problem. Anthony was always polite and respectful . we discussed and agreed on a price for the job and he let me know when he would have the job completed and he was true to his word. when the floors were done oh my goodness amazing ! The floors look new and smooth as silk. With such a Beautiful Finish on them . and the room that look un repairable amazingly beautiful. I took so many pictures. I never knew a house that was built in 1967 could have floors that looked brand new. I am going to try to ad pictures so you can see the amazing work that AFS Flooring can do. Thank you AFS Flooring and Angies list for helping me find them. I sure am going to use them in the future for any of my flooring needs.

Everyone was on time for every step of the process from the quote to the finishing. They were courteous, tidy, professional, informative and worked hard to make sure the job was done correctly. We are very pleased with the work and look forward to using his services in the future. We want to thank Anthony and his crew!!

The experience with AFS Flooring LLC was not great. Anthony, the guy who owns the business was fantastic and very knowledgeable but he wasn't the one who actually performed the work. Anthony did a great job of matching the color and style of the wood downstairs, but miscommunication began with the start date. We were ready for them to begin on the planned date (immediately after purchasing our home) but he was out of contact and made a big deal the entire time about how rushed they were because I made them start late (I allowed them to start as soon as they showed up!).

He sent guys who were incredibly unprofessional and they did a very sloppy job. They slopped stain all over the baseboards and made 0 effort to keep the mess contained or clean up after themselves and the wood has swirls in the doorways where it was not sanded correctly. After we expressed our dissatisfaction to Anthony at the mess he offered for one of his guys to paint the baseboards, we just had to drop everything and go buy paint for him to use. (The house was professionally painted right before we moved in...) He did attempt to rectify the situation buy painting the baseboards to cover up the stain mess.

The price he gave us included the staircase (in place of a military discount), but it turns out he only intended to throw a coat of sealer on the staircase, which raised stains and made a bigger mess than before. He then gave me a quote to re-do the staircase for an additional $1,000 and would not return my calls about touch ups.

AFS was one of four companies expressing an interest in the job, and were the low bidder. They were prompt, and when faced with being late, and quot;Anthonyand quot; (the owner) was courteous to say he would be delayed. Two of the other vendors were and quot;no-showsand quot; and were immediately disqualified. The room walls and trim were to be painted before the flooring was to be installed and they noted that they would be careful during installation. Shoe moulding, provided by the vendor, was to be painted by the owner prior to installation. This was delivered to the house on a Sunday prior to the start of the installation.
AFS provided hardwood samples, and the flooring was selected and paid for in advance. Within 3-4 days, the hardwood was delivered and allowed to and quot;relaxand quot; in an adjacent room.
Vendor was flexible in his scheduling when a death in the family required the owner to be out of town.
Price and quality were acceptable; however, it appears that one of the workers was relatively new and may not have been familiar with the proper spacing of the end-seams from one board to the next. Quite a few boards had the ends within 3and quot; of the adjacent board, resulting in a noticeable herringbone effect in a couple of areas. There was a mid-course correction to avoid this after ~50% had already been laid. Generally, I'd say most people would not find this objectionable, but a trained eye would notice it. I chose to accepted it.
The walls, painted and well-dried prior to installation of the flooring, had several areas of scuffing, where it appeared that the woorkers bumped the walls. Most of the scuffing was cleaned up with a damp sponge by the owner, and the area where there was more damage (one 2and quot; ding in the drywall) was easily patched, sanded, and repainted (by the owner) before the furniture was moved back into the room.
and quot;Anthonyand quot; returned at the end of the job to do the more difficult work around the threshold into the tiled bathroom, and to do an overall inspection.
I would use AFS Flooring again, and would recommend them to others.

Stripped, sanded and and refinished hardwood floors in 21' X 14' living
room. Moved heavy furniture out of and back into the room. Very
personal, well mannered, highly professional, punctual, and did an
outstanding job. The floor had been damaged beneath carpet by the
previous owner wet shampooing the carpet. I thought it would be
impossible to get the damaged area back to normal but Anthony did just
that. If I ever need any more flooring work done, he will have my
business immediately. I won't even bother to call anyone else!

When they arrived on November 2, 2012 to install the flooring, the install had to be postpone. The flooring I purchased and received from the store was defective. I did not find this out until the men from AFS Flooring opened the boxes and started to install it in my master bedroom. I contacted the store where it was purchased and was told to bring it all back. I thought I would have to haul the twelve boxes back to the store, but that was not the case. Mr. Brown had his men load the flooring into their truck, carry it back to the store where I purchased it, and make the exchange for me. He rescheduled the installation to give the new flooring time to acclimate to my home's environment. On November 12, 2012 the installation was performed. It took approximately four hours to complete. My floor is beautiful. I am very satisfied with the outcome.

They came in and installed the tile in my sun porch and den, including stairs. After the tile was installed they cleaned the floors and did a great job.

Mr. Anthony Brown and partner did a fantastic job and the price was reasonable and well worth every penny. Mr. Brown provided a timeline for start and completion dates. This allow me to drive from Atlanta to meet with him and see him work first hand. Mr. Brown was very professional and addressed all of our concerns of the floors being done the right the first time. Although we were not pressed for time, he did everything to stay on track to complete the job when he said he would. The finish work was marvelous and added the finishing touches we needed to rent the home.

From the initial consultations, there was dignity and respect, the estimates were reasonable and once we agreed on price, the work was done in a reasonable and reliable manner and no surprises. One job was completed with my materials and tile saw and one I paid him for everything. Because the 2nd job was small, and he had remnants he could use, he cut me a good deal and I selected from his stock of remnants. Both results were beautiful, economical and durable. I will definitely keep AFS in mind for my next ceramic tile flooinrg project. I didn't expect perfection, and I can be highly critical, but there were no significant flaws or corrections needing to be made so I was happy for the two projects to be stress-free. It is more than a year and both flooring jobs have held up fine.
