The experience overall was excellent. My car had went dead and I thought it was the alternator because the lights came on, and I called 356 automotive in order to see if they could come out to change out the alternator. The owner Monty was able to come out on very short notice. When he came out prior to doing anything, he jumped the battery. I actually found out that indeed it was my battery and not the alternator. He saved me money by not doing an unnecessary repair. The service was done for free. This company is the only company that I allow to do work on my car. I have had brake work done, tune-ups, oil changes, and minor parts replaced. This company always does an excellent job, explains what needs to be done and why which is important to me especially as a woman. Finally, I am always charged a fair rate. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

My husband found 356 automotive online after reading some positive reviews. We were trying to find somewhere to repair the power doors to our minivan. (The doors would only open and close manually.) One door broke several years ago and the other door broke just a couple weeks ago. We have 4 children so trying to juggle taking the car to a repair shop would be very difficult. Just the thought of trying to coordinate around different school schedules/bus stop not to mention we all can't fit in our other car to even drop our minivan off...What a pain!!! SO - It was absolutely amazing to find 356 Automotive who actually COMES TO YOUR HOUSE! My husband and I had never heard of such a service! I was really excited because it made getting my car repaired very, very convenient...and more likely to happen sooner than later!
My husband called them for a quote and they scheduled us in for the next day. The appt was for 1 pm. Around that time, the office gave me a courtesy call to let me know the tech was running a little behind and would be there within 30 mins. He did arrive within that time and started work. There was a bit of confusion as to what work was supposed to be performed, but we sorted it all out. I do think it's a true show of character when there are little bumps in the road and seeing how it gets handled. Monty, the owner, was very professional, fair, and straight forward. I really appreciated that. My doors were fixed that afternoon and I was/am a very happy camper!
The next day Monty came to replace the lift supports on the trunk door. The cost turned out to be cheaper than previously quoted. They could have easily stuck to the originally quoted amount and I never would have known! Honesty is a great thing to find in a mechanic!
If you're looking for uniforms and trucks sporting snazzy logos, you won't find it here! By appearances, it doesn't look like they put a lot into advertising or marketing themselves (plain white truck and it looked like the tech was probably driving his personal car).... but the work surely speaks for itself! Fancy-schmancy isn't always the best....just means more overhead and higher costs for the consumer! I appreciate keeping it real - honest folks and good workmanship!
I will definitely call them in the future. House calls are AWESOME! And I really liked dealing with Monty. I was able to ask him questions and he was able to explain things to me - the guy knows his stuff!
