I had used Blue Ridge service almost since it's inception. Being new to the area i required a mechanic for multiple vehicles. They were always courteous, timely in service, friendly and pricing was quite fair. My Outback (first owner) was always serviced at dealers until then.   At first, general service was always fine, the first crack came in 2014 when the mechanic damaged the Plug Gasket during an oil change and it began leaking oil immediately. Fortunately I was not going on a trip and caught it promptly.  Next item; I started getting a strong odor from the car, something like burning rubber. They suggested it was only my Catalytic Converter in the Mtns, it continued. Turned out it was a leaking CVS boot on the front. They replaced both boots but not the axles saying it wasn't necessary. Several months later of course the axles went and I had that replaced (all by them) in June 2014.  In November 2014 (after additional problems) I took the car into a different service center and on the lift clear and plain both new CVS boots were leaking (ONLY 4 MONTHS LATER).  Quite apparently when putting in the new axles they (Blue Ridge) damaged the new boots causing almost immediate leakage. I had both axles (and boots) replaced at an approximate cost of 1,000.00 in addition to the approximately 800.00 i already paid Blue Ridge to do the same work months earlier.  Additionally when installing the axles it is most likely Blue Ridge hit the Differential plug as that was leaking. there was a ding in it.  All this was very visibly apparent with my own eyes on the lift.  (Additional cost
In August of 2014 I had taken the outback in due to noisy steering pump. They (Blue Ridge) replaced it. Immediately i complained about the noise the new pump made, considerably greater than the old pump before it deteriorated.  Billy said bring it in we'll fix it.
We played cat and mouse for about a month before finally they called me and told me it would be an additional 510.00 to replace the pump (at my cost) over the $434.00 i already paid them for the same work.  I immediately took it to a subaru repair center where they replaced the O rings on the supply lines which helped considerably. The pump is still louder than it should have been, most likely the replacement part itself.
Blue Ridge was always friendly and service oriented. Changed light bulbs for free, prompt and courteous service etc but they for one did not honestly warranty their work and their workmanship became dangerously sloppy over a continuing period of time.
I would not recommend using their service.

Intermittent rattle sounded like a skid plate was loose under my '08 Jeep Wrangler. My neighbor recommended I try Blue Ridge. They drove me home, then looked things over. They called to say they tightened a few things, but that it looked like a muffler issue. They recommended, and offered to drive the Jeep to Muffler Specialists, on Sweeten Creek Rd., if I wanted. I declined, and picked up the Jeep from blue Ridge Service Center. NO CHARGE for any of this!
Next morning, I stopped by Muffler Specialists, who immediately found a steel plate that needed to be re-welded. They did that in about 15 minutes, and again: NO CHARGE. That cured the problem.
Amazing, generous service from two local providers.
