Mr. Rison has done many diffrent projects for our family. Gneral repairs, painting, detailed wooden floor repairs, etc. I never had any issues with Mr.Rison he was always very polite and knowledgeable about every job. He always showed patience with my questions and concerns. Mr. Rison always ended leaving his project areas clean. A very respectful man. His workers (I think his sons) Also very respectful and great work ethics.

...I said all I said above, so please read the first section.I suspect that Mr.Rion has very serious temper management issues hence I avoided conlicts which were many..Many days he arrived looking as if he suffered from sleep deprevation or something as his eyes were baggy and dilated..
Without exception every thing Mr.Rison accomplished now needs to be repaired yet again after only 2 years..We are a 2 person adult family, very low wear folks..

We contacted Mr.Rison and asked if he would be interested in installing new kitchen cabinets in our home. Please note that he had done work for us before. He is slow and not very punctual but gets the job done. He said that his work was slow and yes he would be more than happy to do so. We met on 3 different occasions as Mr.Rison seemed to be having problems understanding exactly what we wanted (clue #1).
Since he was having issues and twice CONFRONTED my Wife in a not so business like manner we decided to get 2 more estimates.Mr.Rison was informed of this and was very disturbed.(clue #2). He then called me not once but 3 separate times basically confronting my understanding of what was involved. I am a retired/disabled man with 3 life careers, 1 of which was Construction Inspection Supervisor for NASA Langley/ Klate Holt Co..
When I was a very young man I also served a 4 year Apprenticeship as a Painter/Decorator, so I believe I understand the scope of the work to be done and further am proficient on the computer. I had done extensive research for our geographic area regarding labor rates etc..
Mr. Rison knew the individuals that we were going to get estimates from, why would we have kert that a secret, correct? Mr.Rison contacted 1 of them, or I should say he went to the workplace of the mans Wife and asked her some very inappropriate questionjs about her Husbands future quote to us.(clue#3).Subsequent to that visit,Mr.Rison contacted me by telephone and spent an inordinate amount of time again questioning my intelligence and understanding of the scope of work. He began to get irritated and I must confess so did I. I told Mr.Rison that he was treading on thin ice , so to speak.Further conversation lead to Mr.Rison openly telling me that I wasen't being truthfull with him and that we wanted a $10,000.00 kitchen remodel for $3,000.00.(clue #4).Please note once again that we were replacing kitchen cabinets only and we would furnish 100% of the materials and Mr.Rison would only do the labor.
I am a man of hand shakes, honesty, and personal integrity. I make it my business not to lie, cheat or steal and a hand shake is as good as a written contract with me.I repeatedly asked Mr.Rison if he was calling me a liar, which I had already figured out the answer to my question. At this point Mr.Rison was informed that he was off the bid list and to return some things that belonged to us and were in his van.know We are not related to Mr.Rison but we do know his Mother from Church and as a Tax Consultant does our taxes every year..
As Mr.Rison left our property he told me that if I said 1 bad thing about him he would take me to court..Now, in the know department Mr.Rison told us on 1/6/14 that he was 3 months in arrears on all of his bills, had spent every dime he had to get a $1,000,000,000.00 insurance policy, had purcheased a new work van, was seeking work in apartment complexes. We accepted this knowledge but did not intend to let it bias our final decision.  I would caution anyone who is looking for a Painter/Handyman to look further. Mr.Rison is not what we would consider to be an honest , forthright or reputable contractor. Thank You Mr.& Mrs Dean..

Mr.Rison is consistently late arriving to work ( arrives between 9 and 10 a.m.)and has problems getting things together for a days work and usually leaves around 4:00.
He has strong points and some very weak points as well. He does better if he is supervised and lead as opposed to the opposite.
