My roof was left uncovered for nearly 6 months because he quit the job. I had to have my son-in-laws cover the rest of the roof after purchasing the shingles themselves. Before they were able to get the roof covered, we had a large rain storm, and now there is water damage, and possible mold, in my home. My insurance company will not cover the expense of repairs because it was caused due to unfinished work by Pollard. I have taken him to court to get my money back, but the judge stated that he completed the work he was paid to do. However, the contract stated he would not receive the remaining balance until completion of the job, which he did not do.
Description of Work: I hired him to make repairs on my roof for an estimate of $8,037.71. After he got the initial check of $5,000, workers took off the shingles. That was at the beginning of September. In November, I gave him another check for $1,200 and he was going to purchase new shingles to be installed. He asked for additional money and when I told him I wasn't giving him any more money, he said he would quit.
