I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Wallace and American Liners and the positive experience I had with my pool liner replacement. His estimate for a 28 ml replacement liner was both complete (with no potential hidden costs) and very reasonable. He honored the Angie’s List coupon without hesitation, which resulted in the cost cited below. My Virginia Beach, VA pool is an 18’x26’x40’ “true L” with an 8’ deep end. He took precise measurements that were provided to his manufacturer Dover Vinyl Products (a Made in the USA company). New liner was delivered in less than 3 weeks. 30,000-gallon pool was dewatered the first day and liner was installed the next day with water going back into the pool by that afternoon. Finish work and inspection were completed as promised the following day. Mr. Wallace and his crew were extremely professional, clearly knowing what they were doing. Mr. Wallace’s decades of experience in pool installation, maintenance and liner replacement were further validated when he was able to work around an issue with the existing well point, with no additional charge. The result is a liner that fits like a glove with no wrinkles. It is beautiful. With his great workmanship and extended warranty, American Liners sets the standard.

This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor that I had not worked with previously. Tony was only one of four that contacted me for a proposal, arrived on time, and was understanding of my needs. His proposal was in line with what I had envisioned. Installation day arrived and as promised he and his crew arrived on time and went right to work. They had a superior work ethic and it showed in the masterful job they performed. We are thrilled with the job and would highly recommend them.

Since being in the construction business for over 50 yrs., I was skeptical of hiring someone I didn"t know. I have seen numerous contractors promise you the moon but fall way short. I saw American liners reviews on Angies List and was impressed by all of the great reviews. I called American liners, set up an appointment and the owner ( Tony Wallace) showed up on time even in the pouring down rain! Tony gave me an estimate. Told me the price, what he was going to do, when he would start and finish. He kept his word to a tee. Beautiful job!! Highly recommend !!!!

Tony and his crew were fantastic. We had paid for a different pool contractor who was never there and didn't do the work we contracted for. Our pool had been a mess for nearly 9 months. Tony came explained what needed to be done, pointed out issues that the other contractor caused and finished in less than 3 weeks. It only took that long because he had to wait on the liner he ordered. Great job, looks beautiful. Would hire for any pool project again big or small

Tony was a life-saver! He returned my initial call (other companies did not even bother to return my call) within minutes and fit me in for his earliest possible appointment to make the repair to my pool pump. He arrived at the time he said he would and gave a courtesy call prior to his arrival so my husband could meet him at the house. He responded immediately to my text message inquiring what time he would return to finish the repair after obtaining needed parts and again arrived when he said he would. He even sent me a picture to let me know the repair had been completed. My pool was sparkling and perfect within 2 days after the repair- amazing!!! His price was very reasonable. Highly recommend this professional!

Absolutely best experience that I would hope to have had. A fine gentleman. He does excellent work and does everything you call him to do. He does it in a timely fashion. He does it at a reasonable cost. I don't remember the cost.I think he had a helper two of the times. Up until the day of installation he had a helper. One day they did the repair the next day they did the liner.

Tony and his help showed up on time. After discovering algae under the liner, they worked quickly to eliminate it with no extra charge. By the end of Day 1, the hoses were re-filling the pool. I like contractors who do what they say they will, answer my (many) questions and make suggestions (check the water for metal content, since well water is being used; explaining the warranty, etc).

He came out to my home as soon as he could. He determined that my pool pump motor needed to be replaced. He ordered the pump motor and gasket kit. When he received the correct parts, he replaced my pool pump motor. It has been operating smoothly with no problems.

I was beyond impressed with American Liners. Tony the owner arrived on time to give us an estimate, quoted a very fair price and left samples over the weekend for us to look at even thought we were getting other quotes. We immediately called him back (my husband really liked him and didn't want to bother with the other quotes) and he squeezed us in before Memorial Day. Tony arrived the day before installation to drain the pool and then he and two other workers came the next morning and the installation was done by noon that day! He replaced all face plates and gaskets. Pool looks great and we love the liner we chose! On a side note, I noticed he didn't cash the $1,500 down payment we gave him until the pool was complete and we were happy. Would give him an A++ rating if I could!

Tony was great. very informative, responded promptly and everything done on time. He was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him. I had shopped around some and he stands behind his product and is competitively priced. It looks like a brand new pool. He made some slight repairs, scrubbed the steps, I got all new jets/plugs - it looks like a brand new pool. One price, he didn't nickel and dime me.

Tony is, first and foremost, a man of his word and a straight shooter. After he took a look at the job he gave me a price and explained what factors may affect the price - as well as offering probabilities of those factors coming into play. he was spot on and the estimate was exactly what I paid. After you meet with him you will have all the confidence you need to hire him. If you are like me, you like to observe and ask lots of questions. Tony was extraordinary in this regard and he never once seemed annoyed or short with my incessant questioning. in fact, when he was finished I actually felt as if he was a friend. He is patient and will take all the time you need to work through your job. On the other hand, if you are the type of person that wants the job done with little interaction, Tony has you covered there as well. My job ran into Sunday and he asked if it was OK to come out and finish up on Sunday. i especially appreciated the fact he asked if it was OK with us to work on Sunday. Class act. I told him to come out and let himself in the back yard. When he came out he went straight to work and quietly finished his work. I got more than I expected. He threw in a few extras and even cleaned my Roman steps so well they look better than I can remember ever seeing them. I think the best way to describe Tony is to say he treats your pool as if it were his pool. His work was flawless, on time and on budget - with a few extra touches. If you are surfing this site to find companies to fix your pool liner, look no further than American Liners and Tony - I did not even bother to call anyone else after speaking with him.

We were delighted with the service we received from Tony and American Liners. He came to our home to provide an estimate for the job shortly after we made our first contact. He provided a competitive estimate and explained all the options and issues that could influence the final cost. He responded promptly to all our inquiries. He included several cans of high-quality spray paint to touch up the pool coping. He could have sold us a new replacement winter cover but he advised against it because he felt that what we had was adequate to do the job. He completed the job sooner than we expected, even when he found unanticipated damage to the sand bottom due to leakage from our old liner. He did the jog right and did his best to keep the costs down. I highly recommend American Liners for your pool repair!

Outstanding job!!!!
This is the second time using this company and definitely will use them again.  Tony came out last year to replace the liner and this time to replace our cover. He always gives great advice and is willing to go above and beyond. The price is always great. I will gladly use him again when we convert our pool to salt water.
