Smoothest, most professional job ever. We can’t say enough good things about Joe Mareka and Carolina Professional Roofing. Our 20-year-old roof didn’t have any problems but we wanted to replace it before anything went wrong, plus we wanted larger capacity gutters throughout. . We called Joe, who came over that very day and gave us a price. We thought about getting other estimates, but we had used Joe once before for a very minor roof issue 5 years ago and he was fantastic; the price was reasonable, plus we checked Angie’s List reviews and the BBB - all totally positive, so we hired him. Joe told us they could start September 2; on August 30 he called and confirmed, then delivered materials to our property. He and crew arrived early on September 2. He stated maybe 3 hours and made sure everything was going the way it should. The crew of 4 men worked 10 grueling hours, taking reasonable breaks and lunch but otherwise working very hard. They were incredibly neat, covering the plants, sweeping the deck several times, using a magnet device to locate any errant nails. By the time we came home from work on 9/3, the roof was done. You would never know they had been there, everything was left so neat. Due to approaching Hurricane Dorian, gutters were postponed till the following week and were completed on 9/10. Joe did not ask for any deposit up front (which we would have been happy to pay), just told us “You can pay me when the job’s completed.” Which we did. We’re totally impressed with this company.

End product was good, but work said to be completed had not been inspected. I had to call them back three times to fix (the same) things that had not been completed or needed to be corrected. Again, good end product but you will need to carefully check behind the workers as management is not doing this.

Joe and his crew were great! Cleaned up carefully before they left every night; arrived bright and early on our agreed date; finished in 4 days; cost exactly what he had estimated. I have a 2 story, 2800 sq ft house with multiple roof lines and sky-lights and had requested estimates from several roofing contractors who were highly rated on Angie's List. All the price estimates were in the same ballpark [~11,000] - I finally selected Mareka because he has a stable crew and most have worked with him for many years, so they work together very efficiently.

This was a very smooth operation, completed within the time estimated. The end result looks beautiful and we are very pleased with the job.

The work was done efficiently and on schedule, and, considering how much old material is sent to the ground, the cleanup was spotless. The manager (the company owner) was on site often and was very accessible to discuss questions.

Great. The job started when promised, took 2 days, as estimated, and they did a great job on the roof and in their cleanup. In fact, the yard looked better after the job was completed than it had before they started. Thumbs up to this service!

Joe was punctual and professional about assessing my old roof and providing an estimate. The crew that did the work was quick and thorough. They arrived when they said they would. It took them 2 days to do the work The results looked very good. The clean up during and afterward was very good. They had to replace 10 sheets of roofing deck plywood.

He sent his crew out a couple of days later, and they repaired the vent. Joe did not charge us for the work. When we get ready to replace our roof, we will call Joe and Carolina Professional Roofing Inc. to do the work. They are honest and reliable.

We had noticed several leaks. Joe came out, cleaned off our roof, and told us that it was time to replace the roof. I had 2 other companies come out and both their estimates were almost twice what Joe quoted. When the team removed the felt and worn shingles, they discovered 11 pieces of plywood were severely damaged. They also had to support 5 beams. The team was thorough and efficient. They did an absolutely beautiful job and the work was first rate. They finished everything in 1.5 days (working 12 hours the first day) to beat a large rain front. We couldn't be happier and would rehire them and recommend them to anyone! They also took down an old antenna, trimmed a few tree branches, and helped repair some damage caused by a squirrel. The house looks great!

He was very responsive and he's very nice.

They came out on time, they gave us a very reasonable estimate, they did the work quickly and professionally. It was a very positive experience in every way and I highly recommend them!

I had this work done in March. I spent nine thousand dollars for them to put on a new metal roof. The job was fantastic! I would use them in the future.

No complaints at all; he showed up personally, on time, having been flexible about dates with me; he had six workers who swarmed all over the house, ripping off old material, replacing boards as needed--they plainly knew exactly what to do. They worked for several days, dawn till dark; they were very diligent in cleaning up the roofing nails and debris from my yard. There were no surprises on the bill.
I discovered the next rain that there were a couple of small leaks around my skylights; Joe quickly got his people back out to address that, and I think they are sealed again.
It's a local company, many of the employees are long-term. I'd use them again.

We've been very pleased with CPR's quality of work and quick turn-around. The crew completed the job in less than 1.5 days.

Joe Mareka and his crew did an excellent job installing our new roof. Joe was very responsive to voicemails and came out twice to perform the estimate and answer follow up questions. Out of four quotes, his was second lowest and his wood replacement costs were the most reasonable.
The crew worked hard and finished up late on the second day after encountering a trouble spot that required a good deal of wood replacement and rebuilding. My yard was left very clean considering the considerable amount of debris that was removed. The new roof has been in place for several months now and we have had no problems.

He provided an experienced crew that were craftsmen! They insisted on using hand hammers that do a more accurate job of placing the new shingles. The surrounding shrubs and ground were covered with tarps and scraps were hauled off. The area was carefully leaf blown and policed and left cleaner than when they arrived. A First Class Group and Job!
