I have a small galley kitchen: 18 cabinet doors (2 are small), 4 drawers, and 2 false drawer fronts below the sink. I have 1 long countertop that is 8-1/2 feet long, and 2 small countertops that are 1-1/2 feet each. Harley was to replace my cabinet door fronts and countertops in my kitchen. 4/13/24 he and wife came to measure cabinets and pick colors - 10am appointment, he was 30 minutes late. April 24 via text, he had not purchased my countertop, but "I thought the first day when I got there I could show you a few different ones then I would go pick them up." May 1, via text, he let me know that there was only 1 countertop option available, so I had no options to choose from. Per Harley "I think it would look really good in there." Fortunately, I liked what was available. May 2, I asked if there was a plan for the day. "It will be tomorrow before I install had some issues with my shaper yesterday I apologize." I asked him to "Please keep me informed." He texted me "I will I'll call this evening and give you an update," which he didn't do. The countertops were installed May 3, 2024. It "looked" good. Then, the chase really began. It was a constant chase, and I was constantly running behind him, asking for updates, asking if he was coming, asking him to call me, calling him. And there was always an excuse. May 6, 5:52am, I texted him if he was coming to finish my kitchen. "Sorry, I was in the shop spraying last night when you txt I will let you know around 730 how they laid out." 9:34am, I texted "How are things looking? I still have the door pulls, too (which I needed to provide for cabinets)." 11:18am: "I had to shoot them one more time this morning and I just had to get a new phone I ran over it this morning taking my daughter to school I am headed back to the house I'll give you an update as soon as I get there." 1:53pm: "I am back at the house going to do one light coat on the back of them and they will be done I will install first thing in the morning." 9:48am: "Good morning. Are you heading over to finish up today?" 9:48am: " I wanted to update you I haven't been in touch this morning I had an emergency with my child I will call you this evening when I get more info." 8:13pm "I haven't got much of an update let's shoot for Thursday or Friday this week I will call in the morning when I know something." I was sympathetic to his daughter's situation. However, while he was at the hospital, my kitchen cabinets were uninstalled. I didn't even have the cabinet doors, so I couldn't even get someone else to install them. And this went on for WEEKS! "Lexie" was his constant excuse. He never reached out to me. I was constantly asking for updates, texting, calling. It was totally ridiculous! I was in a program that required me to utilize my kitchen, and I couldn't. And I told him that. He had told me that the doors were finished, and just had to be installed.
