The price was pretty high.

They treated my dog as if she was their own. They went above and beyond.

The veterinarians and staff were very professional and helpful. They communicated well with me and took very good care of my dog. They were sensitive to issues around cost and discussed options with me.

As mentioned above, I knew my cat had a lung tumor and her prognosis was not good. I was planning to take her to her normal vet (also awesome) on Wednesday for x-rays to help understand next steps in her treatment. My cat is very sweet at home, but does NOT like the vet so I had to give her Xanax (around 6pm) to help me get her in the crate the next morning. Because of this, I was watching my cat's behavior very closely. Xanax makes her somewhat anxious and stumbly. Around 10:30 my cats behavior changed and she became very lethargic and was taking approximately 80 breaths per minute and was unresponsive. I called the Triangle Referral Hospital for information about their services and they were very helpful. Soon after I decided I needed to take my cat in immediately.
Upon arriving, the took one look at my cat and immediately whisked her away to the back room. The receptionist asked me some questions to help them with immediate treatment and had me complete some paperwork. Soon, Dr. Duran came to talk to me to gather more information and help me understand how my cat was doing. He was very compassionate and helped me understand what my options were for the evening. After understanding my cat's current cancer condition, he suggested we take an x-ray to help us understand how much the cancer had progressed and how my cat's quality of life would be if we were able to get her through the evening. The x-ray was very helpful and helped explain my cat's condition. This x-ray helped Dr. Duran and I understand what the best treatment option would be for my cat. The cancer had progressed significantly in just 4 weeks and if we were able to recover my cat it would likely be only days before this would happen again. I did not want my cat to suffer so I decided to euthanize her so that she would no longer be in pain.
Dr. Duran and the staff were extremely professional, compassionate and considerate about the euthanization. Dr. Duran explained how the procedure would work and asked me if I wanted to be present. He asked if I would like to pay before the procedure which I felt was a very considerate gesture so that I wouldn't have to deal with payment after the procedure. Dr. Duran was very considerate making sure I knew what the next step was and making sure I was ready before he proceeded. I felt that I had time to say goodbye to my cat, and let my cat pass on in the most respectful way possible. All of the staff was very considerate and gave me all the time I needed with my cat, then helped me get all of my things to my car.
I would highly recommend Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital to anyone. Everyone there exceeded my expectations in a difficult time.

It went very well given the situation. This is not the first time we've had to go to TVEC and both of our experiences have been very positive.

They were very helpful, calm in a difficult time, did a very good job explaining the procedure and expected costs and they did exactly what they said they would do. Treatment was immediately provided and they did a great job.

Was referred to Dr Cindy Stubbs (internal medicine) for treatment of fatty liver disease. Treatment was liberal application of food. However, my cat would not eat enough. It was decided to insert a feeding tube to force feed the necessary amount until cured. Went in on 6/30/09 for pre-op and returned on 7/1/09 for procedure. Everything went well and cat went home that afternoon.
