My cat was misdiagnosed by Triangle Veterinary Hospital. My cat had a very bad skin condition. She was biting her leg and had open raw skin showing. My cat has feline hyperesthesia. I now know what it is but apparently, this vet missed it and did not recognize it. My cat had suffered with this illness for many months and perhaps years because they missed it many times although she had the classic symptoms of her skin rolling on her back. My cat was miserable and I later sought a second opinion with another vet because Triangle Vet dismissed this very serious disease to "allergies", I found out that my cat had feline hyperesthesia and was eating her own flesh. She had to be put her down at another vet's office because of her incurable disease. She stopped eating, had all the symptoms of feline hypoesthesia. I was at wits' end worrying about my cat. But Tri-County did not. They saw this cat with the terrible raw skin and thought it was "allergies". Wrong dx and many months of my cat suffering because of this illness. Do not count on Tri-County. The staff did not inform me that there was a $81.00 charge for an emergency fee. No one told me that I was here in their off hours or "emergency" hours. I came because I made it before noon. I only came here because they are nearby and my cat was very sick. ASK FOR PRICES BEFORE YOU SEE THIS VET. I was totally blindsided with their price and wrong diagnosis. This is not the first time that this has happened. They pad their bill. I called ahead around 11:40 am to see what their walk in hours were. The staff person told me that it was from 2 - 4 pm. I said that my cat was already in a carrier and she was hard to get her in one. I thought I could come in before noon and get regular prices. The staff person told me to bring my cat in before noon so I rushed out the door and made it before noon because I am close by. I assumed that their morning walk in hours were till noon. No one said that this was "emergency" hours. My cat was seen because of the bloody leg that she had licked because of her scratching. The vet tech and vet were very nice but the front staff people were very cool to me because I had been a previous customer and had left late last year because of problems with their diagnosing a skin problem. This is a continuation of the skin problem. I was a 20+ year customer and they are the closest vet so I had no choice because I live in the country. But this is the last time. I am cured of ever going back to them. When I got the bill, I couldn't believe my eyes. No one had warned me that I was being seen due to an "emergency" and then they totally misdiagnosed my cat. I only went to them because they are close by and my cat had a serious bleeding condition. I asked the doctor what the prices were but she did not know exactly. You must ask the front office staff to get any answers. This vet is higher than most vets these days. I helped them with the diagnosis because I informed them about the skin problems. I have to do this every time. But I will never go back.

They are a little pricey, but they are worth it. They are really good, they saved my dogs life after he was hit by a car. They are really nice and I can get an appointment with them that day if I need to. They are really good at working with me on getting appointments and they have good hours.

We love our veterinarians. They take the time to talk to you about your animal. They really care about my pet and make sure she's healthy. They'll call us to check on her every now and again, which is nice.

Dr. Miller insisted that he could not diagnose my cat without a senior panel. I agreed to it and Dr. Miller called me on the following Sunday with the panels results which were normal for someone her age. They provided no answers. I thought it was odd that he would call me on Sunday. I later figured out my cat's problem on my own. Dr. Miller had no answers except stated that she probably had flea allergies. Because of her extreme sensitivity to flea meds, I used a mild brand. I told him the problem she had with her sensitivity to flea meds but Dr. Miller wanted me to use the strongest flea medication, Revolution. I tried to tell him about her sensitivities to flea meds but he told me to stop talking and listen. If he had listened to me, he could have diagnosed her problem and she would not have continued to suffer needlessly. He was not very nice on the phone. My cat threw up from some flea meds and got bobble head due to her neurological reaction to pesticides. My cat scratched incessantly whether she had fleas or not. Her back had a rolling motion and she would let out loud sounds periodically. There were other signs of her neurological condition. If Dr. Miller had observed her and listened to me, he could have figured this out.
Later, instead of biting me, she started biting herself and had raw flesh exposed. See photo. I had no confidence in trying to call this vet after this experience in May. My cat was treated for fleas, had no fleas but continued to bite herself and lick herself.
It had already been established that my cat had food allergies by my prior vet and my experience with my cat and trial and error. I was using special food. Dr. Miller gave no credence to the food allergies. I later decided to try special litter as well due to her extreme allergies. My cat had neurological symptoms. A cat bite was a serious issue. She was 16+ years old and not well.
I lost faith in this vet after this visit. I finally found the problem on the internet. She had classic feline hyperesthesia and it got much worse in the coming months. I called another vet and they agreed to euthanasia. I became very happy with the respect and compassion that I received elsewhere. I would not recommend this doctor.

The bunny had been bitten in the head and, after her careful assessment, Dr. Lanier gently informed me that it would be very unlikely that the bunny would recover enough to be able to move on its own, it was blind, and was stressed from feeling off balance (it kept trying to turn itself over - probably from an inner ear injury). We agreed that it would be best to have the bunny euthanized. I stayed with the bunny throughout the process and felt comforted by Dr. Lanier's professional and caring work.
I have been bringing my beagle and two cats to the Triangle Veterinary Hospital for several years now and have always been happy with the care that was provided. But after this particular event I will always be so grateful to Dr. Lanier and her staff for their compassion and caring.

The staff at Triangle Vet Hospital are the top-notch! I saw Dr. Ken Dills who is very experienced and knowledgeable. Our vet tech, Erin, was very kind and gentle with my dog. My dog had a cytology of a lump on her hind leg. Dr. Dills explained the treatment options and was very open to my questions and concerns.

They're good at what they do and are kind. When my daughter was considering becoming a vet, they invited her to come in and shadow. We've brought them baby robins and baby field mice and they've treated them at no charge. They are so kind - especially during the period when a cat had to be put down, even sending sympathy cards.

My regular vet, Dr. Robin Scott, is wonderful with the patients and their parents. She truly cares about the welfare of the animal, and is honest about the possible outcome of illnesses and conditions. She will gladly refer you to a specialist if she believes it is in the best interest of the pet. And she is a certified veterinary acupuncturist! When Dr. Scott was not available, Dr. Chuck Miller, Dr. Mari Juergenson or Dr. Eva Welch have all attended to my pets and they are great vets as well. I have referred two of my closest friends' pets to Triangle Vets, because of the trust I have with the Hospital. Having multiple pets, Dr. Scott and Triangle Veterinary Hospital are on my speed dial. A stellar "A" rating!

Their prices are quite reasonable. I moved here from Pennsylvania and they are much more reasonable here. They are extremely attentive to my needs. They care about the animals. They give me all the time that I need. Sometimes I have to wait a long time because they are dealing with emergencies but it is worth it because they give me 100% of their attention when we get in to be seen. I feel my animal is safe with them. They seem to understand not only the psychological aspect of dealing with animals and their owners, but also the level of knowledge and how the issues are explained. They are very clearly explained in layman's terms so I understand what is going on and appreciate what needs to happen.

In August I brought my cat into Triangle Vet because she was having some unexplained stumbling and had lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. The office was very accommodating of my "fractious" cat that did not like going to the vet at all. They were able to see her on short notice. The vet also kept her away from the other animals so that my cat would be less disturbed and anxious. She has seen many of the vets at this practice, but more recently she saw Dr. Eva Welch. Dr. Welch did a great job with my cat and took the time to make sure I was comfortable with all the information. She called me back several times as we followed the data to get to the bottom of my cat's problems. The bloodwork shed light on the situation, and Dr. Welch helped me navigate what was the right amount of testing for my cat. We did have an off-site radiologist read the x-rays but decided against an MRI since it wasn't likely to change our treatment plan. She did research to help me understand my cats prognosis. She and her sister, Dr. Juergensen fielded phone call from me with tons of questions. Dr. Welch also worked with the mobile vet that referred us back into the office. I felt like I had the best of both worlds, a mobile vet that could come to my house for smaller issues (without upsetting my cat by getting her in a crate) and Triangle Vet when more diagnostics were needed.

The experience went well from start to finish. Their office is conveniently located, but the building is in a secluded, wooded area well away from the road and from any traffic noises that might make an animal nervous. They have a nice and well-staffed reception area. The staff and the vets are friendly and pleasant as well as knowledgeable and obviously fond of animals. There was a short wait in the exam room between the vitals check by the technician and the rest of the exam by the doctor, but my experience has been that that is common to veterinary practices; after all, they are animal hospitals and conflicts with unexpected sick-pet visits, emergencies, and other complications are to be understood. Their pricing for pills such as a popular heartworm/flea combo does not seem competitive with that of online pet pharmacies, but their pricing for exams and boarding is very competitive. (I haven't listed an amount, because I can't remember at the moment what I paid, but in comparing it at the time to my records of payments to two other veterinary practices I've used, it was extremely reasonable.) In addition, they make record-keeping and pet health maintenance easy through their Pet Portal online record system, through which owners can view their pet's care history, renew prescriptions, and even schedule appointments, all at no extra charge. After having heard how much I liked this veterinary practice, my neighbors began taking their dog there, as well, and they like it, too.

She is a superb vet in terms of traditional medicine, but she is also skilled at acupuncture. When my elderly cat developed chronic kidney failure, I started taking her to Dr. Scott and Dr. Scott greatly improved her health and comfort and extended her life with the acupuncture. The front office staff is very experienced, knowledgeable and competent and are helpful in their own right.
