The painter he brought was unprofessional and did a very poor job.  Then Mike brought the painters brother who painted but was clearly not a painter.  After 3 days of a huge mess (they did not initially tape of the open doors to the kitchen, or covered the brick fireplace or wood floors), they said they were finished.  I had several times asked them to fix things but then realized that this crew did not know what they were doing.  As I was home alone and did not want this crew to do anymore work, i paid them $2000.  I contacted Mike the next day with photos of the very poor quality and asked him to pay for someone to fix it.  He also asked if he should give the money back and I said yes.  Within 30 minutes, he cashed the check and refused to help me pay the $750 it cost me to have the caulking removed and redone.  The ceiling were re-puttied and painted and all the walls and trim repainted.  I also had to have the room professionaly cleaned as it had paint and dust smeared all over it (Mike used a shopvac to get the drywall dust up.
I have pictures of all the surfaces that needed to be re-done. There was also $800 was stolen from my husband's wallet

Great. His crews came when promised and worked well into the night to finish the job on a timely basis.
