THE CURTAIN SHOP

I asked Ms Beam if she could help me find a material in white that would be seen on both sides. I told her it would hang in a loft area and I did not want either side to look like it was the "wrong" side (i.e. hemmed). After several suggestions, Ms Beam showed me a swatch that was just like I had envisioned. I even told her it does look good on both sides and that was what I was looking for. She did not mention that it would be obviously hemmed and that the white on white curtain pattern would be mismatched by a quarter of an inch. Ms Beam told me that the curtain would be ready for pick up in two weeks and she would call me. A month went by when I finally called her and she informed me that "you never gave me your phone number". Upon picking up the curtain, I told her I was not happy and that I would like my deposit back. She told me for the first time that special orders were not refundable. Nice.
