They have been excellent and always do a good job. Their prices are fair and they have loner cars available. I would recommend them.

This fix took two trips, the fan was replaced once but it also died eventually and then they discovered the cause (the gasket) and replaced it again. No charge the second trip but this is the first time I've had a problem that wasn't really solved the first time around.

They did a good job and very accommodating to my schedule. I like that they give a loaner car to use for the day.

He diagnosed the problem the same day. It was a valve in the engine that regulates air flow. He completed the repair the same day. They are honest and careful to speak my language as to what the problem was and what it took to repair it.

Swedish Imports has been servicing our Volvo V70 Wagon for years. The car is 15 years and they understand that I just want to keep it running and never up-sell me on anything. I've order parts from them before and they've given me a quick overview of how to best install, etc. Recently, the pipe from the converter to the muffler cracked. A new assembly could have been $1,200. They suggested I get it welded at Auto Protocall which I did for $105. I trust them.

What can I say Jim and sons are the best! They were able to fit in my vehicle the same day I called which is so important when buying a used car. I was there less than an hour and the car had a few issues which helped me negotiate a better price. I was very pleased! I have to mention we have had three Volvo's and one Saab because of Jim. He is so good and great to work with that I will never buy another type of car that Jim, JJ or John can't fix. My husband has an Infinity which we can't find a good mechanic anywhere. My husband's next car will be a car Swedish imports can fix!
Thank you,
Susan Schneider

Except for the lightbulbs, we weren't having any problems with the car. Dropped it off in the morning and they called with explanation of their inspection about 2PM. Discussed wear on various parts of the car and their recommendations for how soon they needed to be serviced. Since we declined repairs that weren't really necessary yet, the car was ready an hour or so later. Definitely a much better experience than service at the dealership.

Jim and family are wonderful. Our old SAAB (the people I bought the SAAB from went to Jim too) as well as our current Volvo all go to Jim. His serviceman are excellent, trustworthy and very competitively priced. Bonus for us Jim is VERY convenient. :) I would never take my Volvo to anyone except Jim.

I've written quite a bit about my experience so I'll save you some reading by summarizing my experience. Swedish Imports treated me fairly and honestly and have earned my business from this point forward. The power steering system leaked all the fluid out so the car was towed to Swedish Imports for repair. In addition to the leak, I was hearing a noise from the front end when driving over bumps so I asked them to check it out. At the time I was certain the LH strut bearing needed to be replaced. JJ called to let me know the Power Steering pump could be repaired by replacing the seals rather than the entire pump saving several hundred dollars. He also informed me that they couldn't find any issues with the strut bearing. I was convinced there was a problem and was concerned about safety so JJ asked me to come down and drive the car with him so he'd be sure he was hearing what I was hearing. I met JJ at the shop and we drove the car together enabling me to point out the noise. Once JJ acknowledged he was hearing the same noise I was I returned home. He called the next day to let me know that both he and the mechanic had driven the car and were able to duplicate the noise. They inspected the suspension but found no issues and assured me the car was safe. JJ further explained that the noise was coming from inside the dash and while he was capable of disassembling the dash there was no guarantee he could find and fix the issue. His recommendation was to do nothing. What impressed me most was the fact that they could have disassembled the front suspension, told me the strut bearing was good and then reassembled charging me for the labor. Remember, I was convinced the strut bearing was bad. They also could have put pressure on me to disassemble the dash to find the source of the noise but they didn't. They did what was right, not what would generate the most revenue for the business.

I have been looking for an alternative to service at Crown Volvo, as I haven't been happy with their service. I found Swedish Imports on Angie's List and called to make an appointment to bring my car in. The phone service was very professional, and I was able to make an appointment quickly for a time that was convenient for me. I brought my car in and was pleased to walk into the pleasant, bright service office where they were ready for me and quickly took down my information. I was given an accurate estimate of the time that it would take to complete the service. I walked to the local shopping center, where I was able to work at Barnes and Noble. I got a call from the shop that the brake pads need to be replaced and was given an estimate. I approved the work and was given an accurate estimate of the time it would take to complete the work. Overall, I was pleased with the service that I received.

Excellent service. JJ and Jim are great to work with. They are customer friendly and do work promptly and communicate well with the customer. I'll continue to go there as long as I own SAAB or Volvo!
