+ 1 moreJohn is an excellent general contractor. He is very clean, something we have really learned to appreciate after many messy problems with other contractors. He likes to work at his own pace, and does not hire others to assist him. Although he was not perfectly on time on occasion, he always completed the project on time. He graciously came by our home in the evenings to discuss his projects with us even though he lives 20-30 miles away from us. We could trust him in our home without us present. Finally, his workmanship is outstanding. When his estimates came out more expensive than others, we tried to go with the cheaper estimates, and learned our lesson the hard way. John is worth every dollar he charges.
Description of Work: John Riggs removed a partition wall between the dining room and living room, as well as opening up a load-bearing door frame. He made a custom built cabinet for our refrigerator with extra storage to match our existing cabinets. He installed crown molding and new baseboards in the living and dining area. Finally, he removed an old formica countertop, installed a new sink, and existing stovetop once a new countertop was in place.
