He offered several levels of servicing the piano, clearly explaining the options and the cost of each. He did a thorough cleaning of the piano and tuned it. The instrument sounds much better.

We purchased a $99 Angie's List deal for piano tuning. Appointment was set by e-mail, and Darin showed up right on time on the appointed day. He was very polite and professional, asking questions about the piano's history and our use of it. He was clearly very skilled. He recommended doing a pitch raise, since it had been a while from our last piano tuning, thus the additional $65 charge. We were quite pleased with the results. It's great to find a good piano tuner--makes all the difference.

Although very busy during December, Barnes Piano contacted me promptly and was able to send Darin out within the week. He was on time and very knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely use Barnes Piano again and will be contacting them to make some of the repairs suggested a little later. The piano sounds wonderful and I have never had a piano tuner explain everything as well as Darin did. Very nice and talented young man!

I wasnt able to use the deal because they were really busy. Everytime I tried to schedule they were already filled up. I tried four times.

Extra costs were too high. Did not proceed with service. However, company was prompt in responding to my original request.

First, the total cost was $480 but I had purchased a Deal. Second, I knew it would need more work than just a tuning. Darin had to perform a Pinblock Repair and a Major Pitch Adjustment and also retrieved the front part of one of the keys that had fallen in. The old piano clearly has many cracks in the sounding board and so may never hold a tuning. To my ears (I am not the musician) it sounds so much better. My husband is playing now and enjoying it! Darin was very professional and knowledgeable and advised me to have him back in 6 months to do another tuning if the piano could hold this one. He taught me a lot about the "innards" of the piano. He clearly loves his work!

Daniel was fantastic. He arrived promptly at the appointment time and went straight to work. He did a thorough inspection and then wrote out a very clear and easy to understand report. He gave me three options of services to choose from ranging in price from low to high. After we agreed on which option I preferred, he went straight to work. He worked hard for several hours and when he was done, the piano sounded and felt amazing. Daniel also really seemed to enjoy talking to me about what he was doing, and was very helpful in explaining the processes within the piano that make the sound. He was very reasonably priced, and extremely knowledgeable on the subject. I cannot recommend him highly enough. It was a great experience and I really learned a lot. On top of that, I have a piano that sounds and feels better than it ever has!

He was very professional and was on time, and I was very satisfied with what he did. There was an extra charge because we had not tuned the piano in a few years, but he was upfront about it. I’m not the most qualified to comment on the accuracy of the actual tuning, but he was easy to work with and I would recommend him! He's a very pleasant person to work with.

Tony showed up on time, did what he has been doing well for decades, was polite and courteous as always. Cleaned up after himself.

I purchased a $165 piano tuning deal with a coupon from Angie's List. I knew that there would be an additional charge because the piano was so out of pitch/tune. Anthony arrived as expected and got to work on our piano, which had not been tuned in 8 years. First he had to raise the pitch and then tune everything. It sounds great now. I knew it was bad, but what I didn't realize is how nice it could sound. I got an email before the appointment explaining about the likely extra charge, and it was actually less than I expected. I will get future reminder emails so that I can get the piano tuned on a schedule. Excellent service, reasonable price.

The technician came over to evaluate and diagnose the condition of our really old piano. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. He tuned the piano strings and was upfront about everything: time to repair, what specific repairs were being done, and cost of repairs. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The work has always been superb. The technician is extremely knowledgeable and has given us very good advice on managing our baby grand piano. It is older and gets played quite a bit--four kids taking music lessons. He has advised us well on maintaining the instrument within in our budget. I would absolutely recommend this company to any of my friends and family.

It was a great experience: scheduling the appointment was easy, and Darin showed up promptly. He was very informative, warning me about various things that could go wrong with a piano this old, discussing different approaches, and making recommendations but giving me plenty of input based on how I intend to use the piano, etc. It's obvious how knowledgeable he is and how good he as at this work. He clearly took special care with the tuning even though the piano's not a "young" or fancy, and now it sounds much better than I thought it could. I'm very happy that I bought their Big Deal and will keep using their services as long as I live here and own a piano.

Darin spent quite a bit of time talking to me about the piano, what could and could not be done with it, and how it did and did not meet the piano playing needs of our child. We also discussed the qualities to look for in a new/used piano, should we decide to replace our piano. I enjoyed my conversation with Darin and learned a great deal about pianos. My son was quite excited to play the piano that evening, and it sounded wonderful!

I am most impressed with Darin. He is not only an excellent technician, but a gifted pianist with long fingers. I will surely welcome him back to do the work in the future.

It went well and we were happy with it. Scheduling was fairly easy. He was here about 3-4 hours. Our only concern was that it seemed a bit expensive for the services we received, after comparing it to other places.

It turned out great! They tuned our grand piano. Scheduling was easy and they were receptive to my needs. They'd stated that if the piano hadn't been tuned in 6 mos, there'd be additional charges so I knew that up front. They also do reminder phone calls when it's time for my next tuning -- which is great!

The administrative staff was great. They answered several emails promptly and provided accurate information. Darin Beery came to our home on schedule and with all the necessary tools/materials to make our repair. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and did an excellent job. The price was reasonable and exactly as quoted. We were thrilled with Barnes Piano. We highly recommend them to everyone!

The technician took the time to explain what he was doing at each step as he prepared to tune the piano. When we discovered damage from the piano being housed by a family member out in the country, he evaluated the potential for repairs and explained the additional costs that would be incurred. He took the time to call the office to confirm his assessment that the piano was too badly damaged to repair. He shared the reasons why it couldn't be repaired and also provided information on the best places to buy a used piano and what to look for in making a selection.

Darrin arrived on time and asked question to better understand the history of the piano and how often it is used. He was very thorough and explained what he would do at this visit and what I may want to consider in the future. He did a great job and I would highly recommend him.

Piano has not been tuned in 15 years. Was terribly out of tune with several problematic keys. They did an excellent excellent job a lot of work for the money. I would definitely hire them again
