Description of Work: He tuned our old baby grand piano which very much needed tuning and some additional repairs. He was very thorough and explained the options for repairs. Very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of doing the best that could be done in its present condition.

He took time to explain and show the problems with my older piano, possible repairs, and their limits in fixing the problems, consistent with older pianos. He was friendly, professional, and thorough. I would certainly use Barnes Piano company again.

Description of Work: Darrin was GREAT. Very smart, musically talented guy. Was very thorough, and loves to educate people and explain what he is doing while he works on your piano. He said to contact him if any of the keys sounded off after tuning, and when I did, he came out quickly and took care of it. Sometimes that can happen through no fault of the tuner and he was true to his word of taking care of it without complaint. Very good service! He also recommended a piano mover as we were thinking of giving it to our daughter for her kids. We did end up using the mover and he was extremely good as well. So nice to hire people to do work in your home that you completely trust! Thank you for your great service!

Description of Work: The technician tuned our years-out-of-tune piano. He spent close to three hours working on it. He was professional and friendly. We plan to have the same technician back in six months to recheck tuning.

They performed a full evaluation and recommended several choices of action to take. They are coming back next month to perform the actions required. Description of Work: Our upright acoustic piano had not been tuned professionally in quite some time. We purchased a basic tuning package from Barnes Piano. The tuning expert was punctual, knowledgable and professional in every aspect. He wanted to learn of the piano's history and the pianist that played it. Then he got to work tuning. Afterwards he gave a thorough explanation of the service he performed and tips on what to listen for in the future. This was an additional charge for some additional work performed but it was explained ahead of time and the cost was reasonable. The piano sounds great! I would use them next time!
