Description of Work: Since my piano is old, there wasn't much that could be done. He did a great job doing what he could. It may not hold a tune for long, but it sounds much better. My only complaint is that the company didn't get him here sooner. It was over a month possibly two before anything was scheduled. If I had known I was 10 minutes outside of their area, I could have found someone else. As far as the technician goes, he did a superb job and was very helpful.

Description of Work: The technician examined my old piano and advised me it was not worth tuning since it was in such poor condition. So I spent $99 for a service charge, not a piano tuning. He suggested I purchase a new piano. Instead, I tuned the piano myself in spite of the rusty strings and pins even though I am a novice. I purchased a Korg chromatic tuner, a tuning lever, and some rubber mutes, and Reblitz's "Piano, Servicing, Tuning, And Rebuilding," and taught myself how to tune. Now I don't need the services of a professional turner, and will save the money in the future if and when I purchase another piano.

Description of Work: Barnes took great care of our 30+ year old piano - which we've moved across the country 3 times now. It was 3+ years out of tune, so there was an additional charge, which they clearly noted in their follow-up, prior to servicing it. We could not be happier with the results and will definitely use Barnes for annual tune-ups.

Description of Work: Darin Beery did an excellent job on tuning my piano. He is very professional and took the time to ask questions on our piano musical skills and what type of music we liked to play. He checked out the inside of the piano by taking the time to check the age of the piano and all the parts to see for wear.

Description of Work: Attempted to tune a 58 yr old upright piano. The pins would not tighten so tuning could not be done. They then turned the piano on its back and repaired the pinblock. They will come back in June to tune it.
