color of the natural wood turned moldy black. Upon calling him to come back and fix it or tell us what caused that he was nowhere to be found and he refuses to correct the problem after all the money he made from us. I am very disappointed and I will never ever introduce him to any of my friends. Also he uses very cheap laborers, especially one that ripped me off with some painting work, and he will charge you more always and above what is agreed, because they stayed later than expected and many other excuses. He looks nice upfront, confident, but not to be trusted. He is a good worker himself but some of his crew people are pathetic and very unprofessional. Now I will have to see how to correct the problem on the deck. Also in the condo where he worked he left unfinished areas and after I paid him (in the meantime I was supervising all the time) he will never come back and fix an unfinished job. Do not hire this person, not to be trusted.

We paid $1,000.00 more than 2 other painters who bid on the job, because the owner of this company, Bill Scarth, boasted that they would do a great job on the drywall repair and painting, and we would be pleased. He actually gave us references, two of which refused to reply.
One of the two primary painters at our residence informed us he was moolighting at night as a painter. He would show up for work the next day extremely fatigued and this was reflected in the slow pace and quality of his work. Before we knew this, we actually thought he was hungover.
There is flashing visible on the walls (matte stripes where the paint roller went), they painted over sanding debris on the trim and left pits, nail pops and humps in the drywall. Wall paint is on the trim, sides and tops of window frames were left unpainted and the stairs were only painted on one side. There are thin patches of paint randomly on the walls, showing lighter paint underneath and roping (looks like twine is glued to the wall and painted over) of paint above the trim. They caused two long scratches in our hardwood floor, where they pulled a chair out of the way. In addition, they damaged three doors, when they leaned them up against a ladder outside and allowed them to fall over. The ladder caused deep gauges in the doors and they are irrepairable.
Bill Scarth claimed they had completed the job and actually had the audacity to ask for more money, above and beyond his fixed price contract, because they were there longer than expected. He said he needed the money and his wife said they were trying to buy a second home.
To say the results of the paint job in our residence is substandard is an understatement. Premier Painting & Home Improvement does not see any problems with their job and has no plans to remedy it.
A factory representative from Sherwin Williams came to our residence and agreed that Premier Painting & Home Improvement did a poor quality job, they did not know how to paint with Duration latex and got into a situation over their head. They blamed the poor outcome on the drywall repair and the painter. This representative was the one who educated us on what flashing and roping was.
Once you view the photos, I trust you will agree with us.

I spent $700 on that service. The owner was just real professional. He did a good job and did what he said he was going to do. He gave me a nice quote and stuck with it. He does not seem to be too terribly expensive and he does good work. I used him because he was recommended to me by my friend and her recommendation comes highly.

I have used them once before in the past. The experience I have had with them has been very good. He is very hands on. He showed up on time. He does good, quality work. You can always contact him by cell. He stopped by and picked up the paint swatches and got the paint himself. The initial quote was $4500. But it needed an extra coat. He only charged me for materials and labor of the gentleman that worked with him so he made no extra money. I appreciated that. They did get started a little late a few days.

Bill Scarth was great to deal with. I was very impressed at the speed at which the job was completed. We were under a deadline for move-in and he threw his entire crew at the job, which included 6-8 guys working flat out full days. Of course, it helps when your schedules coincide in a good way, which made this possible. Bill was speedy about getting the color swatches and paint and was flexible with changes in room themes. Overall, A+ job. I will be putting his quote for an extensive exterior job at the top of my list when that comes up soon.

He does great work. Also, he did a beautiful job painting my house several years ago. He has a good eye for little repairs that need to be done before painting and takes care of those things.

They repainted the cabinets as well. There are a couple that are a bit sticky now but other than that it is great. They replaced all the handles on the cabinets. They primed and painted over wallpaper.
