I needed new tires on my car and wanted to get a set that would last a long, long time. The Michelin Defender looked like a very good choice because of its long term tread warranty. So I priced a set of these tires from a few dealers. Colony (also known as Mr Tire) did not have the cheapest estimate, but said they would meet or beat anyone else's estimate, and they did so. I had been using Colony/Mr Tire as my tire provider and service for years anyway, so their flexibility on pricing did not surprise me whatsoever. The only problem with the installation was that their alignment machine malfunctioned the day the tires were put on, so I had to go back later to get the alignment. So far the tires ride very smoothly and I am pleased overall with Mr Tire's services.

Had a coupon and recommendation. Quick service and explained some findings without a sales pitch. Very knowlegable and will use them again.

Well. They installed four new tires and did an alignment. The care had a vibration on the highway the next week and I called about it. They asked me to bring in in right away and they checked it and solved the problem immediately. The car drives the way I had hoped with new tires.

Colony Tire does most of the service on my car, except what I feel needs to be done by the dealer. They have replaced tires, performed state inspections, and most regular oil changes, etc., since the car was about two years old. They have always worked with me to make sure I could get to work or home, if the car needed to be left for more than an hour or so. The manager, Ken, has gone the extra mile to explain what problems were found and how to correct them. On this particular visit, something happened that I had never experienced before. When I got the car back and started from their business, I was shocked to find that my car had no power and lights were flashing all over the dashboard. I stopped at another business nearby, called Colony Tire, and explained what was happening. Within five minutes, one of their technicians walked to where my car was located and analyzed the problem as too much oil added during the change. The technician drove the car back to their shop, noting that he was experiencing the same loss of power as I had, and took the car back to the bay to work further. The service representative immediately advised me that indeed too much oil had been added and that, rather than trying to remove the extra oil, they were redoing the oil change. The whole situation was handled professionally and in a timely manner. That is why I do business with Colony Tire!

I chose them because they had a good price and they had the tire I was looking for. I looked up the tire first online and looked at a few places. They were also coming in to where I was working so it was easy to bring them over to my car and change them by the quit time. The guy gave me a couple of options, but I already knew what I wanted. With nitrogen in the tires, they have got green caps on them now. He gave me a little bit of a discount. They had a special that was running out, but he gave it to me anyway. It was a 10 percent off or something like that. The price was as good as the prices I would get online at the end of the day. They were a little bit late, but nothing major. He was friendly, but not too slick of a salesman. I am thinking about going back to them in the future.

We had noticed on Friday night that the tire was making a noise. I called Saturday morning and they said they would be able to help me out. I dropped it off and within 2 hours they called to say there was a bolt in the tire. It cost $20 to fix the tire and $20 for a rotation. I was amazed they were able to fit me in on a Saturday and that they fixed it so quickly. Excellent experience.

Things went well. I haven't had any problems. They ended-up keeping the car overnight as they found a problem that needed to be fixed. They promptly called the next morning and we were able to pick-up the vehicle shortly after.

I called the week before for an estimate, which they honored when I showed up. They had a deal on Uniroyals until that weekend. No appointment was needed. They told me they were busy when I walked in at lunch, and it would take a couple of hours. They offer drop-off and pick-up, but the driver was returning from dropping off someone else in Burlington (!), so I waited it out. They finished in just over an hour anyway, maybe 1 1/2 hours. Ken I think runs things. He and the others there were very courteous and answered all of my questions before, during and after, weren't dodgy, and gave their free opinion of the tire selection for what I was looking for, and didn't over-charge (except for the now-common practice of using nitrogen to fill the tires, but I can't find any place that doesn't do that now). I will probably go back for rotations, and will definitely consider them when my wife's Accord needs new tires.

Colony Tire on Hwy 54 in Durham does most of the service on my car. They are always courteous and prompt in completing their work. If the work is going to take more than an hour or so, they provide transportation to home or work and then come to get me when the work is complete. They have always provided excellent service and have advised me properly on tires and service, even providing written documentation when needed. I highly recommend them.
