Manicures/Nails
Made an appointment with Tom. Have been seeing him for a few months. He does a great job. Always asking if I like the shape, etc during the process. He remembers me and family details we have discussed at past appointments.

Manicures/Nails
I had a pedicure where my old toenail polish was removed and my nails were trimmed and filed. My feet were scrubbed on the bottom and sides and my cuticles trimmed. My legs massaged with lotion, and then four coats of polish applied to my nails (under coat, 2 coats of color, one of top coat).
From there, I went to the fingernail department where my old French nail polish was ground off. My nails were ground close to the cuticle area to prep for fill-in and the tops were prepared. They were then trimmed to the length I preferred. When that was finished, the gel was applied in several coats and cured under the lights. Once enough gel was on, the nails were cleansed with alcohol. Then the French white was applied, the clear nail polish on top of that, and then clear gel on top. They were then cured under the lights, cleansed with alcohol, and I then washed my hands. Normally at this point I also have my eyebrows waxed, but I had this done earlier in the week.
I have been going to the same salon for gel nails for two and one-half years. Initially, I decided to try gel nails to keep me from biting my nails, but liked them so well that I kept them. I enjoy everyone in the salon--it is a very friendly atmosphere. I find them to be very clean (and I am an RN and tend to notice these things)--they have a well-working autoclave on the premises. Prior to each pedicure/manicure, I notice they always obtain clean instruments
