The showerhead began leaking seriously on Thursday evening. There was no way to stop the leak except to turn off the water to the whole house, so I needed to get this fixed on Friday. A friend recommended JVG. Corey was able to figure out what needed to be done just from my explanation of the existing plumbing. He quoted a price of $125 to cap off the water to the shower (not install a new valve because we plan to remodel soon.) He was able to send out a plumber, Pete, later in the day. Pete called ahead to confirm his arrival time. He was prompt, professional, and very helpful. At my request, he installed a valve cover to cover the hole in the wall, which added $50 to the price. Although that seems a bit high to me, this part of the work did take some time and care. Pete did an excellent job, and thoughtfully cleaned up the mess that was created in the nearby sink. The whole thing took about an hour. Allthough I gave them a B for price because I didn't think the cover would add $50, I really don't have enough information to know if it should have been an A or a B. I am satisfied and would hire this company again.

It went very well. The line was replaced within a day at a very reasonable cost. We have used JVG Plumbing for several other plumbing jobs in the past and have always had great service at a reasonable cost.

My 27 year old water heater developed a leak one day before we were to leave for an out of town trip.  Called 3 plumbers and left messages before 8am that I found on Angie's List.  JVG called back before 830am, gave me a price on the phone and arrived at my home in 45 minutes.   All work was completed around 1130am.  Very pleased with their quick response, their work and the water heater is working great.

I have my new plumber.  Punctual and easy to work with - was able to quote over the phone given a good description.  Everything came out fantastic.

I just used them once and the guy who came out was very good. He was prompt and he did what I asked him to do. His price was also fine.

The technician was easy to get in touch with and arrived promptly at the agreed time.  He had given me a rough estimate based on my description of the issue and the total was within the estimate.  The repair took about 45 minutes as he had estimated.

They sent someone over first thing in the morning to scope out the job. He noted we needed a connector hose. The actual plumber came 2 hrs later, without the hose. After figuring out that we needed one, he left and came back half an hour later with the hose and did the connection. He also tested our other 2 fireplaces to make sure they were working. In all, we paid for $135 labor for a job that should have cost much less. In their favor, the gas logs seem to be working fine.

We noticed leaking from the T&P valve at 9pm. Of course we were planning to go out of town the next day. Called JVG that night and left message saying it wasn't an emergency, but that we needed someone to come out the next morning (the voice mail said that if it were an emergency, to say so and someone would call back within 10 min). Got a call at 7:30am from them, they had a plumber out to us by 9am. Corey was our technician. He was very professional and courteous. Took off his work boots right inside our front door. He examined the water heater, said what he thought it was but also what some other causes might be. He investigated the other causes, said he thought it was just that the T&P valve needed to be replaced. Told us if we had more leaking then the cause could be the PRV valve (between the water main and our house). We asked a lot of questions about how the water heater operates, what the various pipes were going into it, what we should do if we had problems with it in the future, etc., and he was very helpful and answered all our questions. He replaced the valve pretty quickly and was all done. Cost was $40 for the replacement valve, and $95 for the service call/labor. $135 for quick peace of mind while away on our trip was a bargain!

Our house was built with defective pbpipes. We had called Joe at JVG twice for emergency repairs and the second time he recommended replacing all the pipes in the house. I felt this was good advice, given the great risk of water damage with each leak. Joe responded to the emergency calls at odd hours of the day very promptly. He immediately came to our house to inspect. He gave us accurate estimates and did fine work. The price breakdown was: $1175 to replace broken water line from the street to the house. $600 to replace the water heater. $3400 to replace all water pipes for 2.5 baths, including new shower hardware. Joe is very nice and really looked out for us. He also replaced all the water spigots outside and re-located one to me more convenient. I definitely recommend Joe, he's a little rough around the edges, but his work is good and he's very fair priced.
