Could not ask for any better work performed, sometimes on a Saturday or Sunday, with ALL work done under EXTREMELY hot and humid conditions. This removal took maybe 11 calendar days, many lasting well over 8 hours, with from 3 - 5 workers, so I consider the price QUITE reasonable given the QUALITY (tree stumps were removed WELL below ground level ...) and SPEED of the work HAMM'S TREE SERVICES performed for me. I now have the beginning of a backyard! When I first called David he arrived maybe 2 hours later for an estimate. He "postponed" his vacation so I could meet a "deadline" given other work being performed at my home.

I was very pleased with Mr. Hamm's services. He did everything exactly as we had agreed upon at the time of contracting his services. When he could not make it when we had agreed upon him coming, he called to reschedule which I appreciated. He also had to come out a second day because I left my car in the way and he faithfully came out and finished up the job while I was at work.

So he came out and estimated $500 for a tree that had partially fallen and there were two trees that also were dead and needed felling. When they came out he had four guys and they were done very quickly and did a very nice job of stacking the wood and cleaning up the stray branches. However, when they were done he (David) said that there was an extra tree that had to come down so the price was $600. I was a little surprised but decided to give them a tip because they did a good job. He did not give me an invoice for the service as I had asked, so later I called him and left a message that I needed an invoice. He called back and left a message. What he didn't realize that he did not hang up the phone and so it recorded a long conversation between himself and the guy riding in his car. It started with his comments that when he first met me that my boobs were 'hanging out of my shirt' but that he wasn't looking... (I had worn the shirt to my job at a hospital, so believe me, it was not inappropriate attire). Next he said he had intentionally held back the fact that there were additional trees that needed to be felled when he did the estimate because then he could spring it on me and charge me more (he thought that it was a good business practice). THEN I heard him talking about where he usually picks up day-laborers and bragging about how little he pays them, even though I had actually asked him about the guys that were working that day and he said they ALL had been working for him at least 4 or 5 years. After hearing all of this I was, understandably upset. I called him back to inform him that I had heard the entire conversation and he did not respond except to give some weak apology. He had already deposited my check so I didn't ask for my $$ back but I told him that I needed the invoice. Needless to say, I never got it. I did tell my relator who had recommended them and she, or anyone in her office will NEVER recommend them again! Even though the work they did was very good I would NEVER recommend them because of the way he spoke unprofessionally about me personally, and how he withheld information in order to get a bigger payday. By the way, I still have the recording and can play it for anyone interested, or to verify my story.

Came back from vacation and top of tree had been blown down and was spread across my walkway. Called Mr. Hamm and he came out same day (Sunday) and cleared away the branches that were down. Then he came back today, cut down the rest of the tree and removed the tree and the branches. Did a great job overall.

David's crew took down some trees and shrubs then ground the roots and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. He was great to work with. A fair price for a great job. I would recommend his services!!!!

Performed services as requested. Was very careful of surrounding plants, trees, structures. I did not give them that much room to work as I have numerous plants and trees that I wanted to make sure were not damaged in the process.

They were across the street and we asked if they could come over and cut the tree. They came and in no time, dropped it for us. We told them that we would take care of the wood which saved us a lot of money. They were very nice about everything.
