We had a great experience working with Graham Marlette! Not only does he have a wealth of knowledge about the city and older houses in general, but he's patient, good-humored, and tireless in his efforts to find the right home. Over a 9-month housing search, Graham continued to keep us up-to-the-moment with properties about to come on the market, fielded any and all questions that occurred to us, and helped us to see the strengths and weaknesses of the many properties we looked at. You could not ask for a better guide to finding a home in Durham's historic neighborhoods.

Graham really goes the extra mile.

When we started our second attempt to sell our house, we were out of the country and we had been renting the house out. We wanted a realtor with experience and with a list of trusted contractors who we could hire get the house ready. We needed someone who would be hands-on and who would look after the property (and our interests) in our absence. We needed someone who would really manage the listing and hold showings to promote the property. And we wanted someone who knew Duke Park and all of its charms.

Graham really came through on all fronts.

I was somewhat disappointed in him. He did a good job taking us around. He didn't show annoyance, and he showed us a lot of places. He was knowledgeable about homes. However, he failed to give us a walk-through or even tell us that we were entitled to a walk-through, so we bought the house without a walk-through. It wasn't until I went online that I realized that we had nixed that very important opportunity.

He is honest, and doesn't push. He did a good job. I have purchased the home, and awaiting to close.
