Terrible, in nearly all aspects. Still, have not received copy of design or maintenance plan, design was not processed in phases, as requested (was out of town and wasn't aware), has not followed up or replaced failed plants/sod. It seemed that they transplanted dirt from part of the yard which contained ivy (some Poison Ivy, some other) which is now growing up through the sod and other parts of the landscaping. Communication from designer was horrible he was a late for every meeting (with a polite excuse) save one, and showed up 45 minutes late to a meeting with my husband to discuss our problems. The good, liked the design felt that properly implemented is would be very nice.

I hired Mike Lehmann, a landscapist with Garden Environments, to provide an estimate for installing a drainage system at my house.  In addition, he provided estimates for grading, improving drainage, and landscaping at a rental property I own.
He was very easy to work, knowledgable, and clearly passionate about what he does.  Prior to moving here from Michigan, Mike owned his own landscaping firm, and writes beautifully on his website about the role of the garden in providing peace and tranquility.  http://www.lehmanndesigngroup.com/16485.html
After our initial meeting, he came back to look at the property to visualize what he wanted to do.  He answered all my questions with care, and thought through solutions with me, rather than trying to impose a framework.  He was also flexible about breaking the project into smaller pieces so that I could make progress without breaking the bank, Mike did not charge additional fees for doing this, even though it involved sending his gardening team more than once to finish a job.
My mother once hired a landscapist whom she eventually sent packing because he was too prescriptive.  She was amazed by Mike flexibility.  I would gladly work with Mike again.

They were good.  They did what they said they would do and did a nice job.  They were smart and helpful.

People in the neighborhood recommended him. Landscape complications are hard to do and he does a really good job. He is good at working with me with-in my price point. He can be a little bit hard to get a hold of and he does work a little on his own schedule. He is a creative type. The price seemed reasonable. I will continue to use them.
