About us

We are a small family-owned business that began as a paint company. As we go into customer's homes, we were often asked if we did "thus and so." As a result, we have expanded into general handyman and remodel areas. We currently have two teams: a painting crew and a handyman crew. We do primarily residential jobs but have done some small commercial jobs. We give free estimates to anyone interested but offer free paint color consultations for Angie's List members. Also does business as Foundation Flooring. Additional email: [email protected]. May contact through email concerning other areas of need.

Clay is awesome! He is very understanding about the budget and his rates are reasonable. He is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain everything he can do to fix/prevent future problems. My husband and I are replacing the flooring ourselves and Clay took the time to give us tips and suggestions on flooring.

We own a house that is a complete rehab project.  We called Primarily Painting to get a quote on some things we didn't feel capable of doing ourselves.  The owner came to my house and wrote down our "wish list".  He made some excellent suggestions that we hadn't thought of. They were prompt with the estimate which was broken down so we could tell how much each task would cost, and the they were really willing to re-work the estimates to include what we could actually afford.
The workers came out and did a great job on everything we needed done.  We were particularly stumped by the need to do some ceiling patches, on a ceiling covered with popcorn ceiling texture and we didn't know how to match the texture.  The workers were very pleasant, professional, and fast.  They also cleaned up everything every day.  They plastic sheeted the doorways so that the drywall dust wouldn't go everywhere.  I would definitely use this company again.

I own an older home with original paneling throughout the living and dining/office areas, that was dark, ugly and rundown looking. We discussed varies pros and cons of replacing vs. renovating and Clay was very knowledgable about the different methods. I chose the least expensive option of fixing what was already there. They sanded the old finish off and mudded the seams, then did it all again, for a very nice finish. We also added new crown moulding and baseboard, as I had none before. I did the painting of the walls to save me money. They did some of the detail work as my hands shake a bit. The result is really bright and beautiful. I never would have believed it. Clay and his helpers have done a wonderful job, and I have continued on now with several other projects. They are working out great also.

At first, we thought very well. The floors looked great when we moved in. Very soon thereafter, scratches began showing up, down to bare wood. Gradually over the first 1.5 years, the floors began to look very worn. I called Mr. Russ Clark to see what the problem was; he blamed my large dog. I tried to tell him that I have had hardwood floors in two other houses for 20 years and no scratching as this was, nor wearing where standing in the kitchen for food preparation. Mr. Clark would not even come out to look at the floors. I wrote a letter, he would not reply. I called the BBB, he would not return calls. I had other flooring companies look at my floors to give me an estimate to have the floors redone. The other company reps. were amazed that the floors looked as they did; like they were 20+ years old. The wrong protective finish was used on the floors; it was either an inferior product or was latex and not oil based as should have been used. We also noticed, when loving closely at the finished work that there was shoe moulding in some places and 1/2" round moulding in others. There was also a strip of moulding never replaced. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office, also. The only remedy for my floor dilema is to have my floors re-done (we had them done before we moved into the house); which entails moving all furniture out of the downstairs and moving out for at least a week, not to mention the cost.
